I do too. Which is why I said "assuming we don't trade the picks".

I just don't know who we could trade the picks for that would actually excite me, or at least would seem like a good deal.

I like Lowry. I'd deal #11 and something for him. But I'd rather keep the #6 than deal it for Lowry.

Austin Rivers said he was measured at 6-5 with shoes. Good size for NBA two-guard.

I was thinking the same thing. It's big enough people won't call him a tweener (like Beal) or a short SG. But I'd like my SG's to be at least 6'6" or 6'7" (of course, the taller the better).

wll compared to the other "great prospects " at the guard position, the guy is a giant , can shoot ,hmm ok

so many of the cant miss guys are short, cant shoot, cant create a shoot with out a screen, cant pass gas..bah, Rivers does nothing for me as well.
 
That's taller than guys like Mayo/Gordon/Wade/Monta. It's the same height as Harden and Ginobili.

Height isn't an issue as much as wingspan/athleticism/speed these days. He gets to the rim at will with his handle. But can he finish around the trees, and can he withstand the contact?

Source says Washington point guard Tony Wroten measured out at 6-foot-6 in Chicago combine. He was considered 6-5 before - every inch counts
 
Would love to add Wroten. I wonder how far he will slide. I know he can't shoot, but imagine having him, 6'6" at PG, Batum at 6'8" at SG, maybe PJ3 at 6'11" at SF.

With N.O. rumored to want to move the 10 if someone takes Okafor or Ariza, I'd look to add that pick, and then trade back from 11 to maybe nab Wroten. 11 to Boston for 21 and 22 and Bradley?

If he slides out of the first round, I think he'd be great to go get as a second rounder

They're so similar. Both got by on size in college, questionable effort and 'motor'.
 
His motor is a cause for concern but he's talented.

I'm not lobbying the Blazers to draft him.

My top-5:

1) Bradley Beal
2) Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
3) Thomas Robinson
4) Harrison Barnes
5) Andre Drummond

Every single Bay Area and ESPN guy with a "source" has said GS likes T. Jones. Sounds like T. Jones and Sullinger are the favorites at this point (still far off). Another name you hear a lot is Myers Leonard, but they would apparently only take him if they could trade their later picks (30, 35) up into the mid-late first.

Gasol also played the 3 very early in his career as well. That said, Henson is NOT a 3 at all. Whoever takes him will just have to gamble that he adds weight.

So if TRob was 6'8.75 in shoes that makes him about 6'7.5 w/o shoes I reckon. Sully just came in at 6'7.75 with shoes. For reference (in order of height w/o shoes):

Kevin Love: 6'7.75 w/o shoes, 6'9.5 w/ shoes, 6'11.25 wingspan (didn't know he played in high heels)
David Lee: 6'7.75 w/o shoes, 6'9 w/ shoes, 7'0 wingspan

Be that as it may, guys with motors that run hot and cold are pretty dicey propositions. Frankly I'd be more confident in his chances of success if he was a high energy player with a drug problem.
 
I'll be very happy with getting T-Rob with our 6th pick. We could use the 11th and some change to move up a few spots to take a Lamb or Lillard as well.

I want to trade the 2 first round picks for vets. I also want Crowder, Barton & OQuinn drafted in the late 1/early 2. I think all three will be very solid rotational players (Pryzbilla, Matthews level).

Good news for Perry Jones, who measured a shade under 7 feet. Will workout for Bucks+Warriors next week.
