Though Lillard would appear to be the smart play, he hasn't worked out for New Orleans yet and I'm told he may not unless he's allowed to do an individual workout like he has in sessions with other teams. The Hornets would rather see him against competition, so it remains to be seen if this has an effect. And Portland, which was head over heels for Lillard after his workout there last Friday, would be more than happy to take him at No. 11 if he fell.

Amick has Drummond and Marshall going to Portland, but opens a window above for Lillard to fall to 11. I would be pretty happy with that one.

I like Marshall. I think he's a one of the better "true" PG's to come through the draft in some time. I could see him being a better pro player than college player.

No doubt about his ability to make his teammates better. I get very concerned about him not being able to score or defend at this level though. I don't think you can have another player in his lineup who can't score (Drummond). Also, you need to have defenders around him because he will get eaten alive by the quick PGs of the Western Conference.

Maybe he will show more in workouts. He really didn't need to score at UNC because he had so much talent around him.

Personally, for the most part, I don't think UNC needed him to score, so while he was a threat to score, he didn't often look for his shot. He's not a bad shooter (nearly 47% from the field for a PG). But when UNC needed him to score, he could get it done - look at how he stepped up and carried UNC late in the season when they needed him to become more of a scoring threat. I just don't think his lack of scoring in college was for lack of ability.

Today's workout should show that. Going up against some other elite draft prospects will make it clear if he can hang with them or not. If he can, then I could see Portland taking him at 11. If not, then look elsewhere.

It might be an interesting sign that Portland is also working out Machado. Clearly they are looking at both pass first and scoring PGs.

I'm glad LMA has been there. It would be interesting to hear who he liked playing with. He has had both at various times. Is it better to have a pass first guy like Miller or a guy who can keep his defender honest to prevent the double team.

Just got to Eugene for work! Please keep the tweets coming!!!!

Another chip falling into place after todays Wiz Hornets trade?

From Chad Ford

This Wizards-Hornets trade screams Bradley Beal at No. 3. Adding Okafor & Ariza should eliminate TRob & MKG

Also, I guess Bradley Beal looks like a more likely option right now for the Wizards at #3 after trading for a SF (Ariza) and PF/C (Okafor).

I think they are going to amnesty Lewis to clear cap. They essentially consolidated 2 bad contracts into one.

NO will have a lot more cash to resign Gordon, which stinks for us. I'd try harder to get that #2 pick now and snag Beal.

Their bigs are now Nene, Vesely, Seraphin, Okafor and Blatche. They have Wall at PG, and the gap is at SG with Crawford and Ariza (and Singleton, I guess).

I could see that they like Beal, MKG seems to be a luxury since they need wing shooting, and Robinson would be tough to pair with Vesely or Nene.
