Rip Hamilton will soon be a free agent as the Bulls will waive him rather than guarantee his $5 million salary for next season, source says.

And as usual we are watching. How are we getting better again?!

So who is left?? Kaman, pev, and a miracle shot at Asik?

And starting at center... ZaZa Pachula

Still better than JJ/Meyers at center. I doubt he would let a scrub like Reggie Evans drop 22pts/26rbs on the Blazers. That was a dark day in Blazer defensive history.

We must be waiting for Asik, or other Howard dominoes. Or maybe Lopez.

I remember Dalembert dropping a random 35/12 last year. He'd be better than Pachulia, on par with Kaman.

Sounds like Budinger is close to re-upping with the T-Pups, per Jorge Sierra on twitter.

Reading up on the Abbott piece (he's not horrible if he just shuts up about about the Blazers)...

talking about how having 4 good 3-pt shooters on the floor is a big deal and very predictive of wins.

I have no doubt that with some combo of Lillard/McCollum/Wes/Nic we'll have good shooters at the 1-2-3 at almost all times. But LMA has never shown a tendency to shoot 3s. Obviously our centers can't. Who's a premier long-range 4? Kevin Love.

Who says no in a LMA-for-Love swap (aside from most in here)? Do we have to sweeten it? Does MIN? Would either?

Or do you try to swing a trade for someone like Novak/Anderson/Olynyk/Muscala/etc? Or do you just say "Abbott's full of crap" and stick with what we have (aside from a C)?

Chase Budinger has reached agreement on a three-year, $16 million deal to return to Minnesota, league source tells Y! Sports.

Yikes, the market is not kind to teams.

So how long does Dwight drag this shit out? I really hate that guy. He has somehow turned this into a three year ordeal.

He scheduled all 6 teams in two days. So far I think he is doing a pretty good job of speeding up the process. After listening to LA sports radio all day, I hope to hell he tells the Lakers to fuck off.

I don't think that was him being efficient. I think teams were clamoring to see him ASAP and he obliged them. Watch him sit on the decision for another two weeks while he weighs his options.

Apparently an insider from another board said GS is making additional offers for LMA.

Bogut or Lee

+

Thompson or Barnes

Take it with a grain of salt. Might be worth discussing.

Bogut and Thompson or Bogut and Barnes and I at least think about it.

Lee and anyone is a no.

What board? I'd be interested in seeing the responses

But the best offer (Bogut + Thompson) is still the same as the previous best offer. The Lakers don't want Lee - NOBODY wants Lee. And Barnes-type players are pretty easy to come by. I just don't see the Lakers doing a sign-and-trade except for a trade exception and picks. For the Lakers, cap space is more valuable than to any other team, because they've signed more big-name FAs than any other team. And next year there's a ton.

Don't think it's Dwight related, just them wanting to pair Curry and Aldridge.

Wrong LA.

It's probably discovery69 or TBPup. He used to post on the blazers forum at Hoopsworld. Dude had connections back in the day. Not sure how good his sources are now.

I'm still not really sold on a deal with GS. I don't think Klay Thompson is that good honestly. Put the chips on the table. I think they're trying to get Aldridge as another bargaining chip to lure Howard. That way they can say, "come join LMA and Curry to form a big three."

Thompson, Barnes, Bogut for Aldridge and Matthews.

Use our cap space on Josh Smith or Al Jeff.

Lillard/McCollum
Thompson/Crabbe
Batum/Barnes
Smith/Robinson
Bogut/Leonard

That bench is pretty good. We get younger, more athletic, and we have good shooting. Not bad.
