So he's coming over to play for the ducks then. Was he a Redshirt at Cal or a True Frosh?

Ragin played this just completed season as a true Freshman

any word on Recruits or visits now that the Bowl has been taken care of? And any in mind from Texas recruits?

Duck verbals Jalen Brown & Aarion Springs have tweeted out that Duck fans should expect something to be revealed on Friday. Kansas LB Jimmie Swain will be announcing Sunday. Texas DT Trey Lealaimatafao will take a final OV to Eugene this month

I see, and the word on Eric Lauderdale? We have a good shot at him or is he getting homesick of the Southeast?

according to his Rivals profile he is visiting 01/24. In previous Coaching regimes, visits that late were a decent percentage of commits.

with Baker and Brown being added, the Duck's cupboards seem to be overflowing with WR prospects. I'm all for a kid being confident in his abilities, but a realistic JC prospect looking at the Duck WR depth chart knows he'll have his work cut out for him.

that said, I'd love to have a 2nd helping of Nacho

Nacho or Lauderdale would be good. Although Lauderdale would help right away being a JC kid. And he would have a Heisman favorite throwing his way.

Plus Nacho seems to be corrupted by Kevin Sumlin at the moment. Use the "I made Mike Evans a 1st Rounder. I can make you one too!" analogy. Plus he lives in Houston

in a recent interview he noted what state 2 of Oregon's starting WRs hail from.

I'm hearing the TAMU rumors too... honestly my best guess is that Oregon doesn't sign another WR outside of Baker & Brown

Agreed on all fronts

one further note on the WR depth chart... not that rivals ratings are infallible, but if the Ducks do land both Baker and Brown then 6 of the last 7 receivers they've added will have been on their final top 250 lists with the lone exception being Chance Allen

I'm pretty much convinced Nacho is going to TAMU, thanks to Speedy Noil and that Arizona QB going to College Station.

Whats the word on Randall Cunningham? We offer him yet?

Rats. Ah well. Guess that means we're losing Gates too.

We got Rolls Royce with 3 td's and the obvious MVP off the Army All American Game!!! Jalen Brown and Baker also looked damn good too! We'll be just fine!

Go Ducks!!!

Kansas LB Jimmie Swain commits to the Ducks during the Semper Fi game currently going on. He's got solid size and is a bright kid at a position of need... definitely stoked on Jimmie

In bummer news of the day, Duck RB commit Tony James from Florida was chopped down from behind in a dead ball situation and looked to be in a great deal of pain... it looked bad

Johnny Ragin is a LB from Wilsonville Oregon who played last season as a true freshman at Cal. He grew up a Ducks fan but Oregon didn't offer him until late in the process so he stuck with Cal. Reports coming out this weekend say that he'll be enrolling in Eugene for Winter term. He brings good size (6'3 225) and is another honor role level student.

And we have JR3. Will he reshirt? Can't wait for Jimmie.

Oh no! Well, he can redshirt right? DAT is returning his senior season

Scout is reporting there is mutual interest between Oregon and a D-Tackle soft verbal to Louisville named Poona Ford. Of course Louisville's coach just left to take the Texas job today...

Trey L decommits from Texas. It's down to us or UCLA.

he's tweeting back and forth with various Duck commits a lot. One of the latest... "Fun week foolin with the Brodie's @Tcarew10 @jdbrown2014 @buddabaker32"

It seems Oregon has the inside track. On paper anyways, it sure looks like another talented and balanced class is coming our way

I really hope we have some big uglies in this class

those who follow recruiting a lot closer then I say that the biggest problem with this is an overall lack of quality big uglies in the class.... especially in the West. Not much the coaches can do to overcome that. Thankfully the 2015 class is supposed to be the exact opposite and several top BU prospects have expressed Duck interest.

JC DT Tui Talia is supposed to be ready to go and up to nearly 300 lbs, so theres at least one for you. I've read quite a few pining for them to add more JC DLineman, but looking at how their classes are lining up is probably at least part of why they seem to be resisting dipping into that pool again. They've already got 6 Juniors to be on the DLine and adding Talia makes 7... thats a lot of kids to graduate from one unit in one year. Jalen Jelks projects to play at around 300 when he fills out, but it would really be nice if he had some Freshman company. Trey L's Duck prospects look good and it seems that they just offered S.Carolina DT Poona Ford. Adding at least one of these guys would help with the transition in a couple years when those 7 leave.

Indeed. Can't wait to see them.

Which guys in 2015 have expressed interest in the Ducks? I know that Seffner, FL dude is interested.

Oregon has offered DL Courtney Garnett out of LA.

6'2" 285# who also received offers from Texas, Tennessee, A&M, Oklahoma and others. Scout rates him as a three star DL with medium interest in Oregon.

I doubt we will grab him. Okla and TAMU have distance advantage.

In addition, McGraw is seen by some to commit to TAMU according to 247.

Per ESPN, S. Carolina DT Poona Ford has decommitted from Louisville and has set up OVs to Texas, Oregon & Missouri.

remember the Field of Dreams line build it and they will come? Uncle Phil built it... if they visit they'll want to stay

non-sequitor recruiting tidbit... USC has 17 commits and can only take 2 more

STOMP

Yeah but he did commit to Strong, plus there is always SCAR to content with(they do a good job keeping prospects instate) and Mizzou will point to the number of NFL talent on the D-line that came from Louisville.

I think USC will get Adoree and Mama. That means we could get JuJu.

Please let us land a recruit named Poona. I'll have material for years.

yet another far away DT offer goes out this time to Michael Sawyers who up until now has been committed to Vanderbilt. Vandy just lost their coach... sensing a trend here.

Anyhoo, by rivals he's the top rated and biggest DT they've currently got an offer out on
