Marvell Tell to announce today at the UA AA Game... expected to be USC

Paris Bostick has committed to Ducks. Was originally a safety at Georgia, but with Grantham going to Louisville he didn't fit well with Pruit. Went to Santa Monica JC for a year and DP visited him.

With Folau going on his 2 year mission, a JUCO LB, think we have a shot at Houston? Houston could be the immediate contributor or Redshirt, Folau will be back in 2 years, and Bostick is sticking around for three. That's three spots out of five for our class. With Merritt that makes it four. Who would be lucky #5?

Canton got his 5th star back! He, Mack and Payne on the under amour D line was a thing to see, evil trench warfare!

Nothing going on with Mora, no longer taking calls. Apparently the sudden hard up for a DB is because Amako and harrison will be gone soon.
current rumor is that Uluave is leaning towards UCLA. Not much news recruiting front outside of Folau and Bostwick. Merritt camp still awfully quiet.

I was hoping the Rose Bowl win would help recruiting, but it's still early I guess.

Early indeed. The 2015 class is largely filled, & I don't think the RB win will have much of an affect if any on who UO lands this cycle. Most kids have already decided prior to the game and the few that haven't declared probably already have a real good idea where they're likely headed. Relationships with coaching staffs have been established, visits have been taken, it's all done been done prior

however, 2016 & beyond receive a huge bump. Every West Coast prospect knows the Ducks as the elite program. We've already been seeing multiple top prospects committing early, which in my memory has never happened before. Look for that to continue this Spring at a very unfamiliar pace

For a recap, here is who we are in best graces with:
Kirk Merritt
Christian Folau. Those two are the locks.

The last 3 spots are up for grabs. John Houston is probably our priority target. I can see the staff finally throwing an offer towards Jeff Ulrich to help ease the loss of AA alongside a punter/kicker. Or Daishon Neal comes our way instead.

Just got a suprise flip from LSU 3 star CB Ugo Amadi. I would not call Merritt or Folau locks.

rivals has Amadi not only as a 4* but in their latest top 250 prospect list... the 7th Duck commit on that list. Though this is the 3rd school he's committed to, it sounds like he's liked Oregon for some time & claims to be shutting his recruiting down. Seems like a great get as they needed a CB in this class, but we'll see on LOI day...

Has this player even been out to our campus? I wasn't aware we were even recruiting him.....

They have been well linked to the Oregon program. Both have spoke well and have tweeted about it quite a bit(Merritt especially). Did not see Ugo coming.

Also, let's burn Iman Marshall's OF. We all know he's going to USC. Quit the charade. Let's focus on Folau, Merritt, etc.

Also, since Kenny Hill is transfering to TCU, Murray is all set to go to TAMU.

Oregon makes players come see the campus and such before they commit, did I miss Ugo coming out here?

You are not missing anything, same with bostick. Apparently our OV restrictions are forcing us to change some of our recruiting philosophies. .. reguardless of what some werr thinking.

how little we're in the know about the inner workings of Duck recruiting is something I've been pointing out for some time now.

The rivals article I read featured a lot of quotes from Ugo. He hasn't been to the campus but is scheduled to visit soon. I'm not aware of the program changing it's no visit no commitable offer policy, but it may have :dunno: My guess is that he's been extended an offer thats contingent on him visiting. That if he doesn't come, they won't send out the required paperwork. In the meantime a prospect can say whatever they'd like to say while the program is prohibited from saying anything about individual prospects.

both Folau & Merritt have already visited. They've extra OVs and I'm going to go ahead and trust that the coaches have a clue about how to best use them. Why did they ever trip DAT when we all knew he was going to USC?

This kid seems to be quoting just about any school with a top 20 pulse! Meaning Amadi, TAMU still thinks they are in the mix for him and maybe they still are. Who knows....

As for Iman, he seems like a smart kid and one that could play here day 1. That said I think he's drunk the Sark 7 Kool-Aid and believes that a stable full of 5 stars means instant championship.

When he's playing in the Tabasco Bowl in his Jr. year he might think better about Fighting On! Perhaps he should call Woods, Lee, Cravens, McQuay, Barkley and Agholor for a reference point!

I have to be honest this kid just like Arden Key has been bouncing like a ball in a beer pong game. He seems about as credible as Cowart to me. I'm also concerned that coming to Oregon in dead of winter without a visit might shock the senses at the grey day least! You Know?

Ugo called Oregon his "dream school", has signed a financial agreement (see previously relayed pic) & is starting class at UO next Wednesday

He's a Duck

Lovely. So, @Daigotsu who ya got for the last remaining spots in our class? Bostick and Ugo committed without using an OV.

So...with our title berth, what's word on recruits? 247 has been silent, aside from a 6'6 JUCO prospect coming in as a preferred Walk-On:

Hutchinson Community College Quarterback Kylen Binn picked up a preferred walk on offered from Oregon in the last week. The 6 foot 6.5 and 230 pound Binn played his High School ball in South Carolina and received his Quarterback Coaching from Ramon Robinson.

I we may ahve found our own Cardale Jones

Guessing it's silent because guys who host the various sites were at the game and are now in route returning home.

I bring news from 247!

Oregon Offers JUCO QB - Preferred Walk-On

Cory Fravel reported on Monday Oregon had offered Blinn C.C. (Kan.) QB Kylen Binn a preferred walk-on offer. This is not a scholarship offer. With Binn measuring in at 6-foot-6 this makes him an intriguing prospect worth noting.

Zaru's notes: Walk-on to Cardale Jones pls happen

Oregon DE Target Re-Classifies to 2015

Keith Niebuhr of AuburnUndercover.com reports Prince Tega Wanogho Jr. has re-classified from 2016 to 2015. Oregon is attempting to visit him this Friday and possibly lock in an official visit for this month. Wanogho is a 6-foot-8, 250-pound defensive end from Georgia.

Auburn appears to be the team to beat.

Zaru: Prince was born overseas and came here at age 15 or so. Our unis and facilities could impress him and we cna pitch the "play immediately" what with Armstead leaving for the draft. Plus he doesn't have the loyalty to the Alabama schools though Auburn coudl get him.

Oregon Targets Indiana 'Hidden Gem'

Oregon has also offered Ramone Atkins, a 6-foot-4, 215-pound quarterback from Merrillville (Ind.). Atkins has attended the Manning passing academy where Mariota helped. His family informs DuckTerritory, Atkins is seriously considering the offer.

Atkins HUDL

Zaru's notes: I guess this means we're no go for Murray. Oh well.

Oregon Targets Vandy Commit

The Ducks are talking to Vanderbilt commit Josh Smith and the interest is mutual at least. The 4-star inside linebacker stands at 6-foot-3, 228-pounds and is the No. 5 inside linebacker in the nation per 247Sports. An official visit hasn't been set but the staff should be out to see him later this week and solidify things.

I would definitely keep a sharp eye on this linebacker target to see where things progress.

I feel good about our chances with Smith than with Houston. Vandy has struggled while Oregon has made great progress in the state of Tennessee. Let's focus on him and Folau.

Oregon Targets Alabama Commit

Oregon has also been talking to Alabama linebacker Joshua McMillion. The four-star backer has been committed to Alabama since August and in recent updates seems pretty locked in with the Tide. However it's recruiting and stranger things have happened, so at least keep a eye open here to see if anything develops.

Zaru: DAT-like chance?

A few More Walk-On Targets

Oregon is evaluating a dynamic receiver named Kerrick Jones out of.... you guessed it Tennessee. Jones tells me Oregon is expected to come by later this week and evaluate him further. Listed at 6-foot, 177-pounds I expect he ends up with a preferred walk-on offer.

Jones HUDL

Down in Mesquite (Texas) Oregon has been in conversation with 6-foot-2, 215-pound linebacker C.J. Hill. Hill tells me he has a walk-on offer from Oregon and is considering the option.

Hill HUDL

Condiff is back. Malik Condiff, who originally signed with Washington State and was set to enroll at USC as a walk-on tells me he will now walk on at Oregon. The former Torrance (Calif.) receiving star is listed at 6-foot, 187-pounds.

We are going in hard for Sacremento OL Darrin Paulo. Despite our class being filled at the spot, it sure is telling how much the staff wants this kid. Then again, who doesn't. He's 6'7 330

Of course we don't really know if the class is filled at O-Line... the staff may know something about attrition that we don't.

Darrin is scheduled for an OV next weekend. Below is a link from Nebraska media that gives a little bio and a highlight link. Unlike most highlight videos, they don't circle him prior to the plays, but he's pretty easy to spot

just watched the tape of D-Line prospect Prince Tega Wanogho Jr. & wow! 6'7 250 and just an amazingly quick & fast athlete... supposed to be a straight A student as well. On the tape he's bursting through the line to crush QBs and tracking down RBs from behind, but my favorite highlight is when he kicks the ball off and then beats everyone downfield to make the tackle too. The highlight tape and his amazing story are in the link below
