It's coming up tomorrow, may as well have a thread for it. If the Eagles find a way to get Mariota, I may have to become an honorary Eagles fan for a few years while the Niners rebuild :bgrin:

Browns are trying to move up. PLEASE GOD NO!!!!

Im really hoping Shane Ray drops to Dallas at 27. If that happens im going to have to change my pants after the pick.

I don't get why anyone would take Winston #1. I just don't get it.

If you don't think Mariota is the #1, that's totally fine. I get that. I just don't see how anyone could think that Winston should be the #1. The guy is a fucking headcase. He's entitled. I just really don't think he's worth the huge gamble of the #1 pick, and I'm almost certain he's going to bust in Tampa. It will be hilarious to watch though.

Winston is the type of guy that will wow the first 7-8 weeks then start to get cocky, throw a bunch of picks then be caught drinking and driving.

Nate -- I agree with you. He just doesn't wow me and he has a lot of baggage. If they don't want Mariota, I would just trade out of the pick. Also, fun fact, the accuser lives in Tampa. Could make things interesting from a PR perspective.

He's going to implode. I would put money on it. Plus, he's not even going very far from Tallahassee. I give him maybe a year before some woman comes forward with rape charges, or he gets a DUI.

Yeah, either trade the pick or draft one of those awesome OL or DL guys that play for 15 years.

I loath Winston. And so will his eventual teammates. These are grown ass men. Professionals. This kid is as fake as they come. I'd hitch my wagon to Mariota before Winston but I'm not really sold on either being a winning NFL QB. Whoever takes Mariota best not try and fit a square peg in a round hole. Play to that kids strengths, please. Go Hawks.

Yup. I can understand if people have reservations about MM. I don't think he's a sure thing. I don't look at Mariota and see the next Andrew Luck. Hell, I'd have reservations about taking him #1 as well if it was my team. I just would never take Winston. The guy is the next Manziel, and these fools are going to waste the number one pick on him. Imagine if the Colts had taken Ryan Leaf instead of Peyton Manning.

Seattle is going to trade Russell Wilson to the Eagles and move up in the draft to get Mariota.

It would be so much more entertaining if Seattle traded Wilson so they could move up and take Winston.

Seattle should stick with the formula that has brought much success, have a QB on rookie contract, use savings to pimp out defense.

I see you working. Any way to make Seattle more unlikeable will help that rivalry. From my perspective, the luster of the rivalry was dampened when Harbaugh left.

No, Seattle has to lock up Russ. You don't plug and play QB's in the NFL. Just ask the vast majority of the teams in the league. If you get your guy, you do every thing to keep him. This is exactly why teams are clamoring for Winston and Mariota.....even if they're wrong. You gotta have "the guy" at QB in today's NFL. You just have to.

Nah, good coaches can win with any QB.
