I just think its funny they caught their gm lying about it. Talent trumps all I guess.
Yep. Still amazing to me that the Rams drafted Lawrence Phillips like #7 overall (when they had Jerome Bettis). If Clark stays clean, it will all go away. But if he has any issues, you know that the GM will get fried for this pick. Kind of silly to take the risk unless they feel really good about Clark as a person.

I'm so glad I'm not a fan of this team. So glad.
Yeah, it's not like the 49ers ever had any questionable players... You know guys like Aldon Smith, Ray MacDonald or Bruce Miller. Thank God they're such an all class organization that they'd steer clear of such characters! ;)

My point is no team is immune from criminals.

Well, nobody can argue that. Lord knows the 9ers have had their share of problems with Aldon and Ray (so glad Ray is gone).

But I think it just adds to the "Classless" label that already attaches itself to the Seahawks. At least with the 9ers, they come out and say "yep, our guys are fuck ups, and we don't condone their behavior." But with the Seahawks, it's "WHOO, GO HAWKS WIN WIN WIN!"

That's gonna bite them in the ass sooner or later.

Like it or not, its different to know of a player beating a woman's face, and then draft them. Those guys were clean when they came aboard the 49ers afaik.

If he gets in trouble again, they better cut all ties. I hope he as a person grows from it but I won't hold my breath.

The seahawks GM really should have went the extra yard.

Aldon should have just gotten a prescription for guns, then he could have snorted some guns at halftime.

Same here with Aldon. I'm sick of his shit. I promise you: one more fuck up from him and he's gone. Let Lynch take the load; he's a beast.

When I hear of the parties with the shooting and the stabbing I'm like damn, that shit sounds fun! Cracks me up that teams have to monitor that shit lol.

Looks like fun? lol, tried it once when I was 21. Believe me: when you stand before a judge who holds the power to throw your ass in prison for a long time, you clean your act up real quick. Mine was a mistake. Aldon's looks like a character flaw.

But I'll say this: from what I'm hearing, it sounds like he's sticking to his sobriety, and he's sold his "Problem House" in the Bay and moved somewhere else. I'm guessing it's an attempt to start over. I like it.

Fun like a roller coaster, kinda dangerous and exhilarating, giving me a giant boner, and making me vomit.

I'd rather just have the boner. :bgrin:

That was easy.

At least my Cowboys haven't signed or drafted anyone like that.

3/4/5/6 for lockett, jeesh

First of all, Seattle had no use for so many picks to begin with. Had they used them all half their picks wouldn't even make the team. Second of all, Lockett fills two glaring needs for us. Another WR and a kick returner which was a TOTAL disaster last year. Lockett is high character, high IQ and an amazing route runner. I loved the pick.

As for the Clark pick, people need to get off their high horse. All your teams have criminals, or DV offenders. It's such a joke watching fans of other teams pile on the Seahawks. The fact is, if the Seahawks were a mediocre team this story wouldn't be half as big. That is a fact. Y'all are a bunch of haters. Go Hawks.

Yeah Seattle had a shitload of picks I noticed after, might as well cash them in. At first glance I thought they traded the rest of their draft away.

As far as Clark, I guess its the only instance of drafting a woman beater I heard about, maybe there were more?
:dunno:

Prosecutor now interviewed. Says that the facts were not as they initially appeared (although she would not elaborate).

I wish that instead of trying to claim he didn't put his hands on her, they dealt with it differently. It sounds as if the guy is not a bad guy, but it seems clear he did lay his hands on a woman during what appears to be an altercation involving the two. Very poor judgment on his part to hit a woman (even if she is becoming physical with you) and alcohol was definitely involved. Hopefully he has learned from the situation and doesn't find himself in a similar situation. If he does, then the Seahawks have no one to blame but themselves for taking the risk.

Dorial Green-Beckham (drafted by Tennessee) was kicked out of school for a domestic violence incident. And let's not forget the Dallas Cowboys signing of Greg Hardy. No, he wasn't drafted this year, but he was acquired because he was/is suspended for DV.

And I just saw on Twitter that 49ers Ahmad Brooks is accused of sexually assaulting a passed-out woman at Ray McDonald's house. He was NOT drafted this year but it does emphasize the point that not one fan of an NFL team has the right to cast stones from their glass house. It's beyond ridiculous to me that Seattle is getting so much grief.

I totally agree. I do wish Seattle would have just handled this differently and been totally honest. It's a fact that they went back on their pledge to not draft guys with a DV background. Just admit it.
