I like the Chinese prospect better as a PF.This kid looks amazing. I would love to take a chance with him at PF.
He's way too slow to play PF and way to skinny to play C.I like the Chinese prospect better as a PF.
There's a lot of wild cards in this years draft. A lot of guys that have a very wide draft range. Prince, Richardson, Valentine, Baldwin, Sabonis, Chriss.Up until two weeks ago many here thought Malachi Richardson would be a great option to replace Crabbe should he sign elsewhere -- Malachi's stock has skyrocketed (according to Ford and Stein) to the point where the people they talk to fully expect Richardson to go top-10.
Fwiw Neil & Co. interviewed Richardson at the combine.
Taurean Prince is also rising - Toronto likes him at #9.
Sabonis will only workout for four teams: Boston, Phoenix, Utah, Toronto

7'6" w/shoes
8'1" wingspan
-Sabonis to the Raptors makes too much sense. They need a PF, and JonasV is Lithuanian along with Sabonis.*Sabonis has a promise in the top-12 -- Raps or the Magic
*Georgios Papagiannis has a late first promise -- Celtics, Memphis, Philly
*Ulis has a hip condition that will need surgery down the road. He could slide out of the first - red flag?
*Outside Qi, Cornelie, Luwawu most of the international guys have "soft promises" in the first.
Damian Jones is so intriguing. He has the tools to be a very good two way center. Would love it if neal found a way to nab him in the middle/late first. Draft ceiling is #10 to the Bucks and don't think he falls past the Hornets at #22.
Jones is Steven Adams-esque. Being that he's 6'11" with a 7'4" wingspan his reach is on the small side for s center: 8'11"
Good, I would be happy to get Cornelie in the 2nd round and stash him (or does that mean he got a "hard promise"?).*

That's because Prince is not a good player.Prince Ibeh has fallen all the way out of the draft, according to Draft Express; AJ Hammons still in the 40's.

Apparently not; for a guy with his assets and tools to fall out of the draft................That's because Prince is not a good player.
I think they buy a 2nd rounder. I dont think they want the cap hold going into free agency. So how does everyone see Portland getting into the draft, assuming all cash deals are dead? You think Plumlee goes? Do they give up Vonleh? The Cavs pick?

They could deal plumlee for a future first and backup pg or young wing if they know they are going to sign a center like howard or whiteside and are trying to carve out a little more space. But obviously that would happen in july.
Yeah, there a lot of teams with an excessive amount of picks, I'm sure there will be 2nd rounders available for trade. Is Thon Maker still projected as a 2nd? Sorry, don't feel like scrolling though this whole thread.
Maker is at #35 at draft Express; it seems like he was a little higher last week.Yeah, there are a lot of teams with an excessive amount of picks, I'm sure there will be 2nd rounders available for trade.
