You might be thinking of
Aleksandar Vezenkov. He's a Bulgarian who was MVP of the Greek League last year and then signed with Barcelona. I was pretty high on him so I followed him a little. Barcelona has a tendency to destroy the NBA credentials of young prospects. Rubio, Papanikolaou, Abrines and now Vezenkov are all players who've come to Barcelona with fanfare only to look bad (although Abrines looks a bit better now). I thought maybe Vezenkov could be like Jorge Garbajosa, somebody who made up for slow feet with a great feel for the game, but Vezenkov has, I think, too much working against him body-wise. (Although not as much as Dani Diez, our draft pick last year, who I guarantee will never sniff the NBA).
