MY IDEAL DRAFT:
*All these picks are based on who DraftExpress thinks would be available at each spot.
Trade 15th, 20th to Sacremento for the 9th pick
- Sacremento needs as much talent as they can get. Prime trade up spot.
With the 9th Pick, Draft Jonathan Isaac, 6'11 SF, Florida State
At 6'11 with a 9'1 standing reach and guard skills, Isaac might have the highest potential in the draft. He could slot in as our SF of the future.
But I'd rather try to bulk him up and play him at PF. Due to his length, he could easily handle the position with added bulk, as well as be a matchup nightmare offensively, and a versatile defender who could potentially guard 1 through 5.
Trade Shabazz Napier, 26th Pick, 2019 LAL/MIN 2nd Round Pick, Cash to Philadelphia for 36th Pick, 45th Pick, 48th Pick
With one, potentially two lottery picks as well as four 2nd round picks, it's likely that Philadelphia will consolidate some of those 2nd rounders for a 1st. Might take another 2nd Round Pick, but this would be a great trade to try to hit on a 2nd round gem.
With the 36th Pick, Draft Jordan Bell, 6'9 PF, Oregon
Bell would be good value at this pick as a Faried type hustle player, and could be an instant contributor.
With the 45 Pick, Draft Omer Yurtseven, 6'11 C, NC State
As a foreigner, this could be a guy you could stash overseas even though he played college ball in America. That holds some value because bringing in 4 rookies is a bit much. Has some shooting potential, and is a mobile big man. Could be a top back up center in a few years.
With the 48th Pick, Draft Sindarius Thornwell, 6'6 SG, South Carolina
This dude just looks like the 2nd coming of Wesley Matthews. A great defender with good size for a SG (6'9 Wingspan) that could play both wing spots. Could be this years Malcolm Brogdon (under-drafted 3 and D senior).
So in the end, we'd come away with
SF Jonathan Isaac
PF Jordan Bell
C Omer Yurtseven
SG Sindarius Thornwell
That would be a tremendous draft, and would give us depth and potential all around.
