A relevant article for our league about coming up with/making rules/having a league constitution. Just something to think about considering all the discussions we have had in this thread.

Sure, it may cause some consternation when you start up a new league with people coming to the proverbial party with different prior experiences, but that's what league constitutions are for. That's the real veteran move this week: discuss what rules you're going to play by, and write them all down so there's no confusion.

Now, it's certainly bad form to change rules in the middle of a season, but that doesn't mean you can't flag certain areas of debate as they come up so that you can indeed have these important conversations once the season does come to an end.

I'm not so sure about that now that he's with Drew Brees. My guess is they'll use him almost like a pass catching TE (a la Jimmy Graham). He probably won't get a ton of yards but I could definitely see him pile up some red zone TD's.

He’ll be like the 4th or 5th guy the defense is thinking about too, thatll probably help.

Hey, Derek Carr is now available! I'm pretty happy that I got Baker against the Falcons this weekend for Deshaun's bye week.

I purposely didn't pick someone up on initial waivers this week because I had a feeling there would be someone I wanted dropped and I wanted to be higher on the waiver list.

Could be a big big matchup for seeding. I've been making moves for weeks 15 and 16, but if I get a big injury or lose a couple here to finish out it may be all for nothing.

Should be an interesting last few weeks! Getting a bye in week 14 is a huge factor.

Do you guys like having head to head be the tie breaker for seeding? I kind of prefer the tie breaker to be total points.

Well you gave me my one loss, so you got that advantage. If I beat you and we split would it then go to points if we end up tied - I would have to lose all other games though for that to happen. I think my magic number is 2 to guarantee a round 1 bye since I beat PDX last week.

I just checked the previous 2 years setttings. 2016 was total points for for the tie breaker, 2017 was head to head, and this year head to head. What is the most common way these days, total points for?

I think either way is still acceptable. In one of my leagues a few years ago there was a 4 way tie for the last playoff spot and the least deserving team won the tie breaker because he had only played each of the other 3 teams once whereas the other teams had played some of the other teams twice. We voted on just making it point based from then on.
