Just watched that tape. It's already overblown. He shoved her once after she got up in his face, shoved a guy who ran into her, and then he barely kicked her. More of a tap with his foot. Not right at all, but he didn't "brutalize" her like the TMZ title says.

I agree. He didnt "brutalize" her.
But still a stupid stupid stupid move for him. He's gonna pay the price.
It happened in February. Why is it just now becoming public?
Interesting that its not a headline on ESPN.com right now. (edit - it is now)

Yeah and the fact he kept going too made it seem worse. Kind of a bad look for all involved, and he’s the one with the most to lose there, he’s gotta be smarter than that.

My theory--whoever had the video probably didn't think it would make as big a splash outside of football season. Now that we're getting into the last quarter of the season, attention to football is at its highest, so the video release will get the maximum exposure.

While I agree that the headline is dramatic, kicking a girl that you shoved once and shoved another person hard enough to injure both of them is inexcusable whether it is "barely" or not.

You can see someone from his crew ripping a cell phone out of a girl's hand to either break it or delete the video too.

If those other people didn't hold him back, it's kinda scary what he might of done to that women.
Yeah, it's crazy that people clearly recognized that he needed to back down and not get involved before he even did anything and he still was able to get to her. That is why the "he only pushed her" and "barely kicked her" arguments are kind of weak because who knows what he would have done if it was one on one like the Ray Rice incident.

So the arguments about what actually happened are weak because what couldve happened if a variable was changed? That's a weird argument.

Also, I didn't say it was excusable, just unsure if that should even qualify as assault.

I definitely wouldn't have thought this way when I was in my early 20's so I get that players like to party and live that lifestyle, but in the NFL where careers aren't very long (especially for a RB) I don't get why players get that messed up to where they could make a stupid decision and ruin their career. A guy like Hunt could give up the alcohol/drugs (whatever he was on) for a few years and make millions of dollars and then have the rest of his life after the age of 30 to do all the partying he wants. Easier said than done of course, I just hate to see people mess up such a great opportunity. I'm not blaming the alcohol/drugs but it seems like most of these incidents happen when someone isn't sober.

...good job on the Spencer Ware waiver snag when the video first went public on TMZ, that could be a championship winning move!

I snagged him in all 4 leagues I'm in. Seriously though it was more so no one else would use him against me.

Edit: now it says they cut hunt!
Wow, the Chiefs are saying he didn't tell the truth about what happened to them. I'm guessing he didn't know there was video of it. How quickly things can change when you are a scumbag that would attack a woman.

...the whole situation is shitty and no organization or NFL head office will drag their feet on video evidence ever again -- punishments will be fast and swift! I will be amazed if he ever plays again considering how Ray Rice never did :dunno:

Steelers is seriously gonna start Crabtree over Robert Woods? FFS.

This Schott dude is done after this year. Didn't even set his lineup going into the Final Week in a game that determines if he's in the playoffs or not. Absolutely ridiculous.

In his defense, he did take out Hunt. That happened on Friday so he obviously did set his lineup. Playing one guy over another isn't worthy of getting kicked out of a league just because you would have set your lineup differently, in my opinion.

I was gonna say that too, not sure I wouldve set my roster the way he did but he was active enough to bench Hunt after he got released.

You're wrong. Hunt had a BYE last week. He never put Hunt in. He didn't check all week. Also, hes a non-forum member who hasn't been here from the start.

Odell lol.

If only Steelers could start pulling away and make his projection closer. I'm watching that games as much as mine.

Give me a Matt Ryan to Julio Jones 90 Yard TD or something.

18 points for Julio, 11 for Ryan. 29 Point Play for Steelers. Please?
