Whats the story?
Dude kept passing up open shot after open shot. Took his first and only shot at the end of the game. Teammates were apparently getting after him for not shooting on the bench during timeouts.

Wonder if he's protesting after getting slapped with a 25k fine earlier today. Or he has some personal shit going on. Looked completely down the whole night.

Whatever the reason for his pout-a-thon, it cost DEN a win. So, I'm cool with that. Thanks Joker!

KAT looks damn good tonight. full repertoire on display

All I been hearing is he sucks around here but all the sudden thunder only have 1 less loss than us

Meh, have you seen their schedule? Their current 6-game winning streak includes wins over 1-10 CLE, 2-8 PHO, and 2-8 WAS. They only have two wins over teams above .500 (6-4 LAC and 6-5 CHO).

Jokic and Millsap a combined 6 points on 1-8 shooting with zero BLKs and 8 TOVs.

Meanwhile...

Marc Gasol: 20 points, 12 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl and 3 BLK
Jaren Jackson Jr.: 20 points, 7 reb, 3 stl and 3 BLK

BNM

Funny you bring up Gasol. He's always been my best comp hope for Nurk. Took him 7 years to avg 15+ pts game. Beast is trending there now.

Wow wolves suck

With Towns, Wiggins and Butler on the roster, if you go back to July, I guarantee you not a single person on the planet, not even Derrick Rose himself, would have thought he'd be the best player on their team come November.

Karl Anthony got paid.

Jimmy was right. He should be GM instead of Thibs. Well, I guess he kind of is...

BNM

I keep going back and forth on Butler. He wasn't wrong about his team-mates - but I also dislike the way he handled it. If he wants to be the lead dog, he needs to spend more time pulling the sled and less time pissing on it.

That team was drooled over just last year. Crazy the turn of events they got going on

Is that suggesting that the Blazers defense is actually good? Or is it a case of the league as a whole being worse off defensively?

I think we are good defensively. A bit like Nuggets, if you look at every single player in isolation then we don't really have that amazing defensive set up but we work well as a team and rebound very well which helps. Nuggets basically have one good defender (Millsap) and are still super efficient this year because of their collective performance.

Of course it's all relative, but last year we were a top 8 defense for the season and in the top 5 for the first few months. So, seeing us right back in the top 5ish seems valid, regardless of overall scoring being up. Everybody is having to deal with the new "points of emphasis" and the resulting offensive advantages. We seem to be dealing with it about as well as can be expected. We certainly haven't lost ground defensively with respect to the rest of the league.

To be fair, their strength of schedule would be better if they lost all those games. That’s why that stat doesn’t mean much right now. For example, if we had beaten Washington, our SOS would be worse.

WTF JOKIC

deliberately not shooting. This reminds me of Kobe being passive aggressive
Yep. Game 7 vs Suns in 2006. He wouldn’t shoot. I hold that game against him and his legacy. So childish.

Boston losing at home to Phoenix by 19. Kyrie is the only Boston starter that has scored.

Edit: game is in Phoenix
