Remind me again why the Lakers had to let Julius Randle walk? Was it so they could sign a 2nd star? or to sign LBJ. I know they liked him and wanted to keep him but his salary would hurt them in free agency. I think Magic fucked up...again. (the other taking Ball over Tatum)

You add Tatum and Randle to the current Laker team and its a different story.

Caris LeVert injury is absolutely horrible. Ankle broken and ligament damage possibly. Taken off on a stretcher to the ER in an ambulance. ugh.

Was my sleeper fantasy pick. Feel bad for the guy after his injury history.

Was rooting for Toronto over N.O, none-the-less it is nice to see Jrue Holiday kill another team besides us.

Actually, Curry is the one who has disappointed me. He is not the player he was pre-injury.
He’s coming around his defense isnt great but he’s ‘better’ than Nik on that end. I think we should give Curry another month or so and see how he’s doing, his shots starting to fall.

And Brook Lopez. They'd have a pretty interesting lineup if they hadn't given away those two, all other things being equal.

In effect: Randle and Lopez out - McGee and Chandler in.

A downgrade in talent. I can't even see a case for a style/fit argument. I can see where they would be reluctant to tie themselves to a long term deal with Lopez, but dumping Randle wasn't even a good financial move. I admit I don't get it.

Looks like Fultz has figured his shot out. Remember that thread about trading CJ for him?

If I remember correctly, the strategy was to make room for 2 max players. LBJ + someone else. The thing is that Tatum is probably as good as any of the max guys they can get. (outside of Kawhi) And would have been a lot cheaper on his rookie deal.

I get that the draft is a crap shoot, but damn even I could see that Tatum was better then Fultz or Ball. Tatum was clearly the "two way " player all teams need. I think Magic forgot what decade it was and thought pass only PG's were still a thing.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I also thought the guy was a 2nd round steal....but he just never developed.
Crabbe was fine when he was on his rookie deal. It's his massive contract and bad fit on the Nets that is the problem. He's a spot up shooter not a playmaking scorer like the Nets are trying to force him to be.

Can someone fill me in on this Fultz thing? Wasn't this guy a pretty good shooter in college? What the hell happened?

Fox/Hield/Bogdanovic might be my favorite young backcourt.

The Kings are fun in general too as long as they aren't posting up WCS or Bagley. Giles had a nice night in the box score, but I'm still not a believer.

Dame, CJ, Sauce, Seth?

Now tied with the Warriors in the loss column - Friday could be for first place!
