Just found this little nugget. MJ was one of a kind no doubt.

Ouch.

BonesJones- Schroeder shot 9/19 tonight, not 3/17. He hit four threes alone.

Yeh, I was just about to post about what a good job Fitzdale is doing and how Vonleh seems to be getting better by the day. I still don't understand it. If Olshey suspected he was going to let Davis, Napier and Connaughton go at the end of the season; why didn't he clear cap space by trading one of them for a second rounder at the deadline?

Seeing how Vonleh has turned his game around, I rather suspect he didn't want to be here.

Stotts Vonleh'd him. No matter how well he played, he would only play the first few minutes of the 1st and 3rd quarters on most nights.... like what he did with Layman even when his eFG% peaked over 70%.

I am not going to blame Vonleh TOTALLY on Stotts. He's the kind of player that only gets shit tons of playing time on a team with nothing to lose. He had an extremely slow learning curve too. It's not uncommon in this league for a player that's drafted that young to become a significant contributor after his first contract.

I’m not convinced Vonleh is actually that good anyway. It’s easier to look decent on an awful team, even Trey Burke looks like a good player on this Knicks team. Mudiay scored 27 last night and he’s garbage.

The Harvey Grant syndrome.

I think this is right. See also Jermaine O'Neal. Also we've no guarantee he can sustain this. Look at Jordan Bell last year - we were all kicking ourselves that we hadn't taken him. But now he's in the doghouse and getting barely more PT than Swanigan.

To avoid the repeater tax.

That's what he said Bones. Although Pat wouldn't have gotten us under the tax line trading Napier or Davis would have.
They were too big of a part of the rotation though.
