My Draft thoughts on 6/11...

Mikal would be my first option but I’d be more than thrilled with Knox. I doubt even at 14 either is available but you might get Knox, he appears to be slipping a bit.

I’d trade CJ for Luka in about 2 seconds.

If Porter slides outta top 10 they should do whatever it takes to grab him.

He doesn't look like he's athletic at all. Just doesn't have that blow by first step either.
Yeah Milton has always been pretty meh for me.

Good shooter but his mechanics worry me about how translatable or versatile he'll be as a shooter in the NBA . Not a great pull up shooter and a bad finisher with a poor first step so how does he win when teams run him off the line? Don't think he's quick enough or a reliable enough playmaker to see much time on ball so he must bring off ball value if he's going to be successful.

Length on D bothers college guards that don't have good quicks, but IQ on D is just ok and if he can't guard NBA level pg's, I think his value plummets on that end. Skinny frame and lack of athleticism limits his positional versatility as well imo.

Length and shooting will get him a look in the 2nd round though.

Musa is really good, can create his own shot and is a good 3 point Shooter, the guy we need at the Wing

Looks unathletic. That slow first step ain't gettin by an average NBA defender.

He's got a lot of wasted movement in his jumper.

He does have a pretty high release, so he will probably be able to get the shot off, but I pretty much agree.

Having a high release means little when your first move with the ball is to drop it lower than your shot pocket.

Another guy I found who's extremely underrated: Shake Milton.

Although he's almost 22 years old, he's a guy worth going after, especially for us. He's a shade under 6'6, and has a wingspan over over 7ft. He was a 43% 3pt shooter at SMU, and is known as a very good defender. He can play either guard spot, score on all three levels, can rebound, as well as pass and make plays for others. He should probably be a top 20 pick, but will go in the 2nd round. He'll be a steal.

I heard he looked really bad at the combine. Probably I read it here.

Shake Milton measured well with a terrific 7'0 ¾" wingspan, but it was all downhill from there.

He would have been better off skipping scrimmages. Milton didn't record a field goal through two games, finishing 0-of-6 in each and struggling to get any separation or make plays off the dribble, exactly the concerns scouts would have had entering the combine.

The fact that he didn't test athletically also suggests he was trying to hide his weaknesses.

Milton was viewed as a fringe first-round pick entering the week, but with others in Chicago rising and likely taking away spots in the 20s, SMU's star guard is going to fall.

I got the sweet throwback one from the 77 team. I won't give that away. My jersey collection is really bad.

Telfair Throwback
Darius Miles
Webster
Oden

The only good one I have is the All-Star Lillard jersey I won on this site.
I only have a Zach Randolph that I got on clearance (LOL), and a Damian Lillard I scored at Goodwill ;)

You question his mechanics? His mechanics are fine. If not good. Shoots quick, I one fluid motion, while leaving the ground... he'll have no problem shooting from NBA 3. From what I've seen, he also hits pullup jumpers very well.

You don't need athleticism to be good in the NBA, but you're underrating his first step. He looks fine when run of the line. Has a solid floater and is able to contort around the rim and knows when to pass out.

He's not a guy that'll attack a lot. He's a 3- and-D guy that can attack in spots. A random combine pickup game isn't the best setting for that.

Plus, you can always become more athletic. That's something he can train.

Meh. He doesn't pass the eye test for me.

From what I gather from inside information, Charlotte has promised Kostas Antetokounmpo at 55.

Also, Atlanta is heavily considering Trae Young at 3, and Michael Porter Jr.s medical reports came back better than expected, and Memphis might have him as their number one player on their board.

Totally down with this move. I'd say buy a pick even higher just to make sure you can get him. Dude has the genes and a ton of potential. Isn't that what the 2nd round is for?
