The Ringer has him going in the lotto. You're not ready, Troy. Very bad decision.

If Doncic fell to 4, I would probably do that. I just don't see that happening though.Possibly. Then again, Bagley and Jackson could conceivably impress significantly in the next couple months and move up the boards.
Imagine that both the deals I proposed this morning happened, and we ended up with Doncic at 4 and Mikal at 9. Definitely take a step back for a couple years, but once the youngsters develop and the bloated contracts fall off, look out! Never happen, I know, but I'd definitely be intrigued by the potential of that squad.
Dame/Doncic
Lee/Bridges
Thomas/Parsons
Collins/Leonard
Nurkic/Noah
I could get down with that. If they pan out...add them to Dame, Zach, and Nurk, and that could be a contending core in a couple years. If Doncic fell to 4, I would probably do that. I just don't see that happening though.
In your scenario if we had 24 still too and got Hutchinson, we'd come out of the draft with three wings.
Maybe. I've already seen at least one national analyst saying that for the second consecutive year, the best player in the draft will be a Duke player picked 3rd. I don't think the top 2 are necessarily a slam dunk, especially once workouts and the combine come around. Don't be surprised if a couple of these GM's let metrics supersede game tape. This might be like the Oden draft in that the Kings can not possibly screw this up drafting 2. Even the Kings should know they take Ayton or Luka at 2...right? Both worthy of going 1st let alone 2nd.
In 06, we traded Khryapa and #4 (Tyrus Thomas) for #2 (Aldridge).
We also traded #7 (Foye) + cash for #6 (Roy).
We also bought the 27th pick (Sergio) for cash.
Boy those were simpler days.
So Neil will trade out of the draftDon't see any of those, though. Wagner's a German. All the ABC's in the mocks are melanin-rich. Isaac Haas won't even get drafted.
I remember Stephen A roasting us saying we didn't know what we were doing. Those were very fun days at the Draft Party.
Hmmm, not sure how I did as I don't recall asking a question, lol. What was my question and what was my answer?
You asked how we could get 13 with 24 and 26 when we got 10 with 15 and 20. But then you answered how by mentioning that this years class isn’t anywhere near the caliber of last years.
Ok, but that's a huge difference by trading two not real valuable picks for a 13th that would have considerable more value in a less than deep draft.
Here we go--let's combine all the crazy deals into one. CJ to Memphis for #4/Parsons; Mo to NY for #9/Noah (plus Lee into the TPE); Turner/Aminu to DET for Blake. Trade machine approved, baby!!i see two options for Portland this offseason (short of trading CJ which we all can assume will never happen under Olshey)
1. Trade for Blake Griffin.
2. Use TPE to pick up an extra first and move up.
Staying at 24, and spending what, $20m in tax on a bench player just doesn’t move the needle at all.
So either get Blake Griffin, or make a move on draft night.
Cheese puffsI remember Stephen A roasting us saying we didn't know what we were doing.
I wonder if he has a promise from someone (like the Blazers).
Lillard just started playing a little defense this year... he was literally the worst defensive PG in league... Booker is only what 21-22? He will only get better... Josh Jackson is a 2-way wing with huge upside... adding Ayton or Doncic to that... plus the Euro coach they just signed.... vs an aging undersized ISO ball backcourt in Portland
It’s funny how tough you think you are behind your computer screen... I’ll see you at a Blazers function one of these days and we will see who the cupcake is
If he falls to 10th then Philadelphia are 100% taking him, he is the player they need. So yes, we would need to get into top 10. It’s hard to predict which order Young, Carter, Sexton and Bridges will go in because I am fairly convinced all of Ayton, Doncic, Jackson Jr, Bagley, Porter and Bamba are going in the top 6-7 (only one from those mentioned before who has the potential to go above any of them is Trae Young because Orlando) to complete the top 10.
They signed him to an extension during the season and it isn't quite as team friendly. Plus other than one game against Boston he disappeared in the playoffs.I don't think they take him. They have Covington on a friendly contract.
Calm down man, that was not a threat... I don’t like how he calls everyone cupcake and thinks he is a tough guy... just want him to stop the name calling... seems like he is always trying to start shit@SlyPokerDog This is grounds for banning! Personal insults are one thing. Personal threats are a COMPLETE OTHER.
And I GUARANTEE you you won't be harming a hair on this senior citizen's head.
Threaten older people much?
Calm down man, that was not a threat... I don’t like how he calls everyone cupcake and thinks he is a tough guy... just want him to stop the name calling... seems like he is always trying to start shit
And I have no idea what his age is
I would almost bet enough money that mattered to me that Portland will get Hutchison somehow.
Olshey caters to Dame, and Dame likes Hutchison
How is that a threat??? I just meant to say he wouldn’t call me cupcake to my face... you seem to be ok with him instigating and name calling but I strike a nerve with you because my view of the team is different... get a life man... I could care less about anyone here... I’m only posting my thoughts on team to give people another perspective, not trying to make friends like youNo, YOU need to calm down with your PUNK ASS threats. IDGAF WHAT you like or want to happen. You can't be saying shit like you're gonna meet someone at a forum get together and "we will see who the cupcake is"
Say what the fuck you want but that's a threat.
Regardless his age, stop threatening people in the forum. Most of us don't like you anyway with the BITCH SHIT you post...
That promise is portland, I’d bet on it.
Lillard connection
Team need
Four year guy with Olshey characteristics (work ethic, etc)
It’s obvious. I wouldn’t be surprised if we even jumped up a couple spots to secure him.
Except that Dame wanted him to draft Mitchell last year and he drafted Collins.I would almost bet enough money that mattered to me that Portland will get Hutchison somehow.
