I'm more concerned that we're celebrating a sexual predator in White than anything else.

I think this part says it all: "Lena Zawaideh, who claimed the extreme sports star had “repeatedly sexually harassed her and forced his authoritarian management style on her for over seven years.” OMG. A rock band leader who is an authoritarian???? White must have mansplained her to death and it was so bad she stayed in his band for seven years.

If she can prove he did anything involving touching her privates, then I'm good with the "sexual predator" label. Until that time he is an Olympian with a disgruntled band member who is pouting because she didn't get her way.

Our ski jumpers did great in trainings at large hill but after the disaster that the tournament at normal hill was I won't get my hopes up. We should have got at least 1 medal, Hula deserved it if not for the stupid computer.

Yes, we should consider him guilty until proven innocent, after all he is male.

I love the Winter Olympics. Just wish they'd show more coverage of different events during primetime, except Curling. Just don't buy it as an Olympic endeavor. Like Bowling, it's a beer league event. Love most of the sports though, especially the aerobatic ones ( on skies, or board). Not big on the slalom though. Favorites: Halfpipe, Snowcross, Ski Jumping, Aerials, and the sled events. Actually like Figure Skating but can't stand the judging. Not big on Hockey, and don't enjoy the Cross Country events as much, but admire the athletes, especially Biathalon . Dig how a person can be gassed, and still shoot with marksman precision.

So what sports do you like or have a once every 4 years passing interest in?

I like:

1. Ski jump! Yes, I watch it for the crashes.

2. Some of the downhill skiing, again for the crashes.

3. Hockey, if USA is doing good.

4. Speed Skating, again... crashes.

5. Snowboarding things. Crashes


Don't really care for:

1. Figure skating. Even when there are crashes they're not very good.

2. Skiing and shooting things. Why?

3. Curling. Would be better if the stone was big enough to crush people.


Things that should be in the Winter Olympics but aren't:

1. Basketball. Basketball is a winter sport. Should be played in the WO because the drama of watching players leave the NBA for a few weeks to play would be great drama. No Lebron, Curry, Durant for a few weeks, very fun. And if none of the NBA wanted to leave we could send Meyers.

I enjoy all the winter Olympics events but I do not enjoy the crashes. Does this make me a pretty boy?

As for skiing and shooting stuff, why not? This looks like great fun and I'll bet the Finns are good at it. I've got me a Finnish hunting rifle so I guess all I have to do now is learn how to ski cross country. How hard can that be?

Shawn White just won gold in snowboarding half pipe. Not sure if anyone was watching but he was dragging the American flag in the snow and clearly stepped on it a few times.

USA vs Canada for gold in women's hockey. These gals are good. Almost no parity in women's hockey, North America pretty much rules it. USA beat Finland 5-0 and Canada beat Russia 5-0 in semifinals to play for gold on Thursday.
