TBF's post was about players talking about war; you switched the focus to vets talking about their service. Considering your prior post in the thread was responding to a vet who had mentioned his service, and that you deplored those who brag to boost their egos, my inference was fairly reasonable.
Ok. Sounds great.

Same reason I'm not. It's more fun to represent the forum and even if you were allowed to be on multiple teams there is an almost certainty that there would be time conflicts with game schedules.

Ok, with $1000 to the winning team that would be all the incentive I would need.

You have to pay a decent amount to enter that division though whereas the media division is more about having fun and representing who you're playing for. There were teams last year that all 4 guys had played D1 in the elite bracket. We could hold our own in that division but probably wouldn't win it as it's really tough. I know the guys from several teams in that bracket most of which are around my skill level and they got their ass kicked last year.

I was invited to do some interviews and updates for our media team. This should be fun. Wonder who I’ll be rooting for when they play the S2 team. Kinda like a Blazers/ Lakers game.

Who's playing for Blazers Media?

Who knows, but I can’t think of anybody on the payroll that could even beat ME, and that’s saying a lot considering I retired from playing seven years ago! I wouldn’t put it past them to have some “interns” fresh outta college play though.

What about Holton, Hurd, and Kent?

Reminds of several years back when my brother in law worked for Maletis Distributing here in town as they were a Budwisier distributor and a lot of ex athletes worked there. They put together a charity game against Nike with the game played at Jesuit High School. I don't remember the name but Nike flew an ex pro quarterback in from the east coast to play in the game. They still lost, but the after game party was at a warehouse in NE Portland around Columbia Blvd with Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts playing and it was a great time.

Nice of Mrs HCP to keep volunteering your services for these events!
