My prediction is that Kevin Love will be a member of our Portland Trail Blazers.

I'm not saying it would be a good trade but that is my prediction.

I just can't see how Portland can afford it. Start with Olshey would never trade CJ for Love....isn't that just about certain?

so then, the average annual salaries:

Love 30.5M
Dame 30M
CJ 27.5M
Nurkic 12M

that's 99.5M for just those 4. That's only 30-40M under the projected tax threshold over the next 2-3 seasons, and Portland would still have to add 10 players

Enes Kanter is a younger, arguably better player who is available to the first decent offer.

But the Knicks don't want to take on contracts to that extend past this season. The Blazers would have a tough time finding the right pieces to get him.

I didn't say it would make sense, ha ha!

I could see a Turner, Aminu, 2019 1st, and some other asset like Simons or Trent type of trade. I just have a funny feeling Olshey is going to get desperate to add another "star" and that Love would be the only realistic option.

Who can only play C (a position were stacked at), and cant space the floor so he's a bad fit, compared to Love who's a PF (a position we could use an upgrade at) and can shoot.

Oh please no to Kevin Love. He isn't a Star anymore, and can't stay on the court even if his Life depends on. BIG FAT NO TO LOVE

I think Blake Griffin would be a great fit here.

For Turner, Aminu, and a 1st?

I'd do it. They wouldnt.

Wonder what the package would have to be or if it's even possible.
According to Pistons fans most seem to want to keep Blake and trade Drummond and Reggie Jackson. As they fall further out of the playoff race some want to tank. If they went into full on tank mode we could probably get him for peanuts and a pick(s). If they still want to build around him then it would be pretty tough.
