Butler seems so overrated he works so hard and holds everyone to unreasonable expectations that his attitude eventually wears people out. How many teams has he been on in the past two-three years? Four? I've lost count lol.

Miami is his 4th team. Chicago-Minnesota-Philly-Miami

Im ready for some battles. Seven new players, although you may as well count Simons and Trent as they barely played. Jobs are up for grabs.

Guard: the starters are set, and Simons has the head start on backup point guard. Will be interesting to see if Trent carves out a role or if he’s sitting again. I really like Caupain, I think he’s everything you’d want in a reserve point guard. I’m rooting for him to get a two way.

Forward: This is wide open. Collins should start at PF, but I think Skal will challenge for playing time and is a more natural fit imo. Don’t know who will start at SF, there are legit cases to be made for both Hood and Baze. I also don’t know what they’re planning on doing with Hezonja, four or three, but I think he will play and have the ball in his hands.

Center: does Gasol play or is he just essentially a player coach? I think Collins’ best fit is center and if/when whiteside gets in foul trouble, I’d probably rather see him instead. Moses Brown is intriguing but seems years away.
And where does Bazemore fit in?

One step closer to opening night!
Are you going to the opening preseason game with Denver at the Memorial Coliseum? Tuesday, October 8 at 7:30 PM.

that, or he's flexing in front of a mirror
You have to appreciate the dedication it takes to wake up at 330am to flex in front of a mirror wearing a pair of Pitvipers. All the while, Jimmy Butler is posting up the air and talking trash to invisible players. Should be a fun season in Miami.

Should we start talking about moving Dame to the bench in favor if Simons? Super 6th man and shit?

all the green font

They should trade Dame now, while the iron is hot! And while we're at it, trade Nurk too. I have a good feeling about Whiteside...

Sadly, no. I live in Orlando currently. Can I ask why you singled me out with this question?

Now bazemores talking up Trent as well. “He’s been amazing the first couple of days. He’s pushed me. We guard each other. I think he’s going to help us big time this year.”

Idk if this has been posted by holdahl and freeman had a segment on their latest podcast titled “things I’m hearing” re: workouts and training camp.

- Tolliver is probably going to have a bigger role than people think and they went as far as to say he may even start if Gasol isn’t ready on opening night, with the idea that Collins backs up Whiteside. That’s probably a stretch but they did mention how Stotts likes his spacing and defense and that he’s a good fit alongside Dame, CJ, and Whiteside. Personally I like the idea of Simons playing alongside some vets on the second unit, Tolliver being one.

- Holdahl said Trent’s looked “phenomenal” both in workouts and camp and compared his situation to Layman, as in he’ll be play better than people think if/when he gets an opportunity.

- Blazers are “bullish” on their defense. They love the “length and athleticism” of Whiteside and the idea of him pairing up with Collins. They also love the versatility of Bazemore, who can guard three positions.

- Players and staff want to get past the “underdog” mentality and start carrying themselves as a real good team. Part of the reason is they don’t want free agents, trade targets, etc looking at them as a team that overachieves, but rather a good team players want to play for. “We’re not a team that will catch you when you’re not looking. We want to be the team that when you come to our house you know you’re gonna have to play your best, because we are one of the best.” A maturation of sorts; the next phase.

- Holdahl said Skal is another guy that’s played very well in workouts/camp.
