Is Nurkic in the conversation now?

As far as frontcourt players go, there’s Jokic, AD, Durant, and LeBron. So if there are 2 or 3 more, here are your choices:

Steven Adams
Tobias Harris
Marc Gasol
LaMarcus Aldridge
Nurkic
Rudy Gobert
KAT
Capela
Draymond
Bjelica
Ayton

Gobert would be lock if Jazz were better. Green has reputation on his side. Grizzlies and Wolves have fallen off.

I’m thinking Gobert, Nurkic, and Aldridge. It will really depend on records in a few weeks from now. If we are top 3 seed, Nurk is in.

We're only a few games from the top spot. A 10 game winning streak could get us there. Would likely get us into the top 3... And of Nurk can keep this level of play up (and we keep taking advantage of it) we're going to be tough.

I'm just saying, if by the time they select reserves we're still in 7th or 8th, we're not getting more than one All-Star.

You've forgotten about Paul George, who is also a lock for a frontcourt spot, so thats 5. And I would think that Tobias Harris would likely be favored over Nurkic for the next one.
 
If we get and all star it will be Dame. Green don't deserve being all star he having a terrible season. I don't think Klay also don't deserve it either.

This guys are the ones deserve being in the all star right now. This could change and if Nurk continue to play like he doing now he could easily replaced Adams. The reason I say Adams I don't think OKC would be where there are in the standing
without him.

I also be only got 11 players too. Just not sure who that 4 guard would be. Possibly Westbrook it could be Klay that I don't think he deserves it but again the game is for the fans.
 
This dude made an All-Star list WITHOUT Russ? And then says he’d “possibly “ put him on it. Good lord almighty.

This is the year that Nurkic builds his reputation for an AS selection, where next year is where the campaign really starts. That's usually how it ends up- get the recognition, maybe even a snub, then you come into the year with the heat. You get the guys who have a year where they absolutely blow up- like Jokic or Tobias Harris- but the typical path goes along the other line. It's almost a "pay your dues" scenario - which of course gets passed over if you're a no doubter.

With that in mind, I wouldn't be surprised if Nurkic got some love this season but falls just a bit short. The dark horse is whether or not he could be selected as an injury replacement.

Maybe DeRozen over Aldridge. He’s playing really well.
 
Nurkic doesnt have a chance this year. Someone more deserving will get left out. Wed have to be #1 in the West with Nurkic getting more minutes than hes been getting so that his stats are better.
 
I know Klay will be AS and I can't stand it.
 
Theres no way Nurkic is making it in but that would be hilarious and awesome. I don’t think 4 all stars can be justified for a team that isn’t at least 1st in the conference, I’m almost certain Draymond won’t make it and Klay is honestly doing his best to not be involved either which would be even more awesome. Guys like Toby Harris and Conley making it would be sweet.
 
I think Nurkic gets little attention with KAT, AD, and Jokic getting the majority of votes at center. I do not hold Mitchell's shooting woes against Gobert and would put him ahead of Nurk. Most are probably going to vote Capella as well. There is another arguable tier that he groups in with DeAndre Jordan, Steven Adams, Ayton, and Gasol. BTW, Jordan is shooting 71% from the line and deserves credit for Dallas playing better this year. The All Star game is a joke though and Green could still make it. He and Klay should not be there this year though.

Will be interesting with Westbrook. Averaging a triple double but still jacking up close to 5 three pointers a game but shooting 23%.

Curry, Durant, Lebron, AD are the only guarantees, IMO.

Harden and Westbrook, health dependent. If WB misses much time, PG13 will probably put up sufficient numbers to get a spot.

Dame and Derozan, if current performance continues. Jokic too.

Mitchell will get one if he plays 40+ games.
