I'd be good with:

Sign Milsapp.
Sign Shaquille Harrison (prefer him over Bradley by now, Shaq is not a playmaker, but can be paired with either CJ or Dame ).
Sign Damyean Dotson.
Trade exception to Sacramento for Bjelica.
Bring in Trevelin Queen and Nick Richards as undrafted camp invites.
Grab Immanuel Quickley in 2nd round. Wanna bring in some additional playmaking.
Resign Gabriel.
Maybe see if you can grab a big body like Biyombo or comparable to back up Nurk.

Dame / Harrison / Ant / Quickley
CJ / Trent / Dotson
Covington / Hood / Nassir
Milsapp / Bjelica / Zach
Nurk / Gabriel
Did you forget Collins?

Interesting note. Would mean everyone is going to have a full roster this season. For Portland that most likely means at least three free agents + the two ways. Guessing Hoard will be one of those two ways.

Come on, Jerami Grant... I thought he would've been a great fit all along, but after the Covington pick up yesterday, he'd round out the rotation pretty nicely.

I wouldn't count on Zach and Gabriel to be the only covers for Nurk. Someone like Cauley-Stein I believe would help as well.

Agree. We can not rely on Nurk and Zach staying healthy for every game. Need another center.

Covington is great on defense, but he can't lock guards up off the dribble. But he can help check Lebron/Kawhi/Luka/etc. '

But we currently have no one who can even hope to check guys like Steph or Murray outside of Gary Trent. We need to fill out the roster to get a nine-ten man rotation that can matchup with guys in the Western playoffs. Harkless might be a good candidate in that respect, as he's versatile enough to somewhat make life difficult for guards. That's why I'm getting increasingly interested in Bradley. Or even Kris Dunn.

Guys like Harrison, or the like will not be good enough to get on the floor over Simons in the playoffs.

Harrison is better than Bradley by now. Dunn and Harrison arent far apart. Harrison is a better scorer. Clippers are looing at Dunn and I figure he might be too expensive.

Bradley isnt the same guy we saw in Boston. He's faaaaaaar from that now.

Not buying that, even with Bradley's drop off. Harrison was on the floor for just 11 mpg and put up one three per game. I like that he's 6'7. Not much else there.

Why are you so high on him?

All the advanced metrics indicate that Harrison is the best of the 3 (admittedly in a smaller role). Best in the following categories: TS%, FTr, TRB%, TOV%, USG%, WS/48, BPM, & VORP

Totally get that. Will that be sustainable with higher usage/sample size? Doesn't it give you pause that CHI didn't even try to retain either him or Dunn?

I want someone who we don't hesitate to put on the floor to start a fourth quarter in a game 7 of the playoffs to be able to give Dame/CJ at least 3-4 mins of rest. Can that be him?

Is Jaynes looking for clicks or does he know something we don't know? Bruh i'm scared now pick your damn Option hoodie

Given how Chicago has run their franchise in the last 10-years... no - it doesn't give me any pause.

Also, we're basically talking about a minimum contract player. Given that, I'm not sure I'd want anyone that is currently 'available' to start the 4th quarter of a playoff series.

I wnt Patrick Williams or Saddoq Bey at 16.

Or Jalen Smith.

BUT...

:blink::blink::blink:

Scrubb is a second rounder at best...

Chicago has been horribly run and coached.

With Bradley, you're getting an MLE level player who can play those minutes, or at least that's what I want with the MLE. That's why I want him.

I disagree there. You may be paying him the MLE, but he's a minimum contract level player.

How can we legitimately make that happen in a way that is at least somewhat feasible?
Zach/Hood/

Agree, wonder what he might cost. I think FA will offer some opportunities for the kinds of players Por needs to fill out the roster. Would we rather have Grant for the MLE vs Milsap? With Roco and Grant we'd have a couple good defenders with size and Grant is a good 3 pt shooter

Trent made Hood expendable. It is what it is.

But what if he opted out to sign a long term deal with Portland? Would we have to use an exception to sign him?

I think so; he's an UFA now, right?
