I wonder of Woj/Shams/etc are just sitting on a bunch of agreements because leaking em now could get their sources in trouble, or if their phones actually just blow up the second free agency opens. I’m going with A because there’s almost always multiple tweets when the clock hits.
GuaranSheed the tweets are already written, submitted, and scheduled.

...speaking of which, apologies if already covered here or elsewhere, did the Bogdan deal get backtracked simply because it leaked and their excuse out of trouble was to claim player didn't agree or does he really want to go somewhere else?

A lot of chatter about Christian Wood. In the following, at varying times, was matched up against Embiid, Horford, and Harris.

Wood went on a stretch the last 26 games of the season that was well, why he is going to get paid.

  • 18.2 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 1.0 bpg, 0.8 spg on .563 shooting from the field and .404 from '3' in ~28 mpg.
  • Only once during that stretch did he have over 4 PFs and and only five times did he have over 3 PF's.
  • He +/- was a total of +36 over that stretch for a bad Pistons team. Pistons were 6-21 over that stretch.
  • The season prior for his stint with NOP, avg'd 1.6.9/7/9
  • Career .368 shooter from '3'.
Not sure what he will end up getting, but there are things he can do that Zach hasn't come close to duplicating.

No idea why we would re-sign Whiteside or go after any of the bigger name centers just to play 18 MPG behind Nurk, not to mention Zach who will also spend time there. There are SO many centers on the market we can definitely get a competent one for the vet min. Spend the MLE money somewhere else.

Competent centers who could sign for the vet min:

Alex Len
Bismack Biyombo
Robin Lopez
Taj Gibson
Jahlil Okafor
Kyle O Quinn
Cheick Diallo
Noah Vonleh
WCS
Mason Plumlee
Joakim Noah

Well Furk all this shit. We got Kanter back. Hell yeah!

Here is a a Free Agent Scouting Report: Christian Wood

I was thinking of that today; that Olshey probably knows from agents exactly who might sign here if the money is right. And so if he doesn't get the guys I want, I'll be somewhat understanding, cuz as has been said, most clubs only have the exceptions to work with, so the same amount of money except for a few highly desired players. But then I thought of 4 years ago when his first two targets went elsewhere and he settled for Turner. So it might go like that again, first, second and third options. Now, if he couldn't get somebody good with the trade exception, I might be less understanding.

Trade for RoCo; trade for Kanter...if Neil somehow gets Christian Wood to come here for the MLE, this place gon' asplode!

More on Bane, never have enough shooters! These guys rated him 4th on list of shooting guards in draft this year, a long, long way ahead of Elleby:
Bane is an unheralded prospect but one of the most efficient shooters/scorers in the country. He’s got good size for the shooting guard position and elite shooting touch. He’s not a super high end athlete and could struggle some with NBA speed but with the pro game moving more and more to spacing and 3pt shooting there’s a spot for Bane in the League.

His outside shooting is his primary NBA skill. He’s got a quick release on his jumper, excels in catch and shoot situations and can also get his shot off the dribble. He hits a high percentage from 3, from the field and from the FT line.

He’s not great at getting above the rim and is more of a low center of gravity player. He’s got broad shoulders and natural strength. Doesn’t appear to have plus length.

He’s an older prospect, born in 1998.

Woj's tweet says Memphis got Bane.

Christian Wood is not coming here! Stop setting yourself up for disappointment.

Damnit man. Free agency opens at the same time I have an interview. Ugh. Priorities.
