Who says no? (send some picks to GS as well)

Toronto goes all in on the rebuild while getting the hometown guy in Wiggins (aka Maple Jordan). GS re-tools for a title run.

(leaf added only for salary purposes. can get around this after the summer).

Again, all these moves are contingent on bringing back Powell.

Dame/ MLE PG
Powell/ Simons
Roco/ Little
Siakam / Jones
Green / Collins

I don't see the Warriors being interested in paying CJ $30M to play behind Curry and Thompson, and I don't see a three guard lineup being something that they'd be interested in committing to.

A bit of unicorn for the roster? He certainly didn't seem to mesh well with Doncic, where I think CJ would be the perfect complement to Luka's game. The question is whether Porzingis can get back to his NYK level of play. Drop Kanter and go with Nurk, Porzingis and Collins as your three bigs. Play RoCo at SF with Little as backup, re-sign Powell and go with a 3 guard lineup of Dame, Norm & Ant.

I have to admit that -10 wins for Portland vs +10 wins for the Mavs is a bit off-putting, but I'm not a believer in Hollinger's projections. I think the bigger concern would be health for all three bigs.

It's funny because some people have said this would be their nightmare scenario lol

I wouldn't bring in Porzingis unless I have a trade lined up to get Nurk out. KP is a center.

Is Porzingis that much different than Aldridge when he was here?

Golden State says no quickly, especially if Wiseman is involved. They need Green too. Toronto I haven't a clue. Wet dream for Portland

that trade has almost 140M in salary moving around, and more than 400M in contracts. I wonder what the NBA record is for salary and contract value moving in a trade

I was listening to Mike Richman's pod this AM about potential CJ trades where he polled other podcasters in local markets about what they would give up for CJ. Wiseman was proposed by the GS guy. I added a Nurk for Green swap, but figured GS would want to get rid of the Wiggins contract along the way.

Not defensively. Seems much more suited as a stretch 4, ironically in an offense like Mike D’s
eh? I want no part of a lineup that uses KP to guard 4s, especially in this day and age where Lebron/Kawhi/Giannis are PFs.

What other teams/assets were mentioned?

Isn't the point to get better defensively?
Barnes is a solid defender. Swapping out cj for Barnes in our starting lineup, with a new coach would definitely improve our defense, IMO.

i aint recapping a 50 min podcast. but it's the usual suspects. Porzingis/Middleton were the standouts. As well as Wiseman

listen here:

The idea of dealing CJ for Wiseman sounds crazy to me. Like, I can't imagine CJ being worth that.

I'd have to believe that if the Raptors would be satisfied with Wiggins/Wiseman as the return for Siakam, the Warriors would just do that deal straight up. Curry/Klay/Siakam/Green is a killer foursome.

We could beat that deal with CJ/Nurk

Wiseman is a #1 overall pick coming off his rookie year--Nurk is an oft-injured fringe starter. Wiggins is a local hero, and would be a better fit than CJ in a rotation already boasting Lowry, VanVleet, and (likely) GTJ, not to mention being, what, 3-4 years younger?

I don't see how CJ/Nurk beats Wiggins/Wiseman in terms of trade value, especially for a team that would be committing to a rebuild were they to deal Siakam.

Wiseman was a #2 pick, but he definitely did not play like one. But yeah, infinitely more valuable to a rebuilding team than CJ and Nurk.

Wiseman looks like he might be the next Oden, a 2nd pick that is always injured. Wiggins is a former 1st pick that never lived up to the hype.

Lowry will be gone. They will put CJ next to Vanvleet. Play GT2 at the 3 and behind CJ. Nurkic is far better than Wiseman.

But, I guess yeah the younger player probably looks better for a rebuilding team.
