Trent as that talented young player?

There's definitely a salary matching deal available with Collins/Trent.

Trent and Hood for Collins and Rondo works.

I dunno what the incentive is for Atlanta though. They have a glut of wings already, and Trent has the same issue as Collins, ie. RFA this year.

Maybe they think Collins gets offered more than they want to spend on him?

They offered Collins 90 million already, so the risk is that he gets a max.

If his market is MAX, would the Blazers even match that? Seems like we would also be facing the same issue as them.

Collins, Rondo, and Hood to Boston
Trent and Teague to Atlanta
Smart to Portland

I think we'd need to add a pick or something to Atlanta (at least), but they'd save some money, get out of Rondo's contract, and clear up playing time for Gary and Bogdanovic.

Question...... if Atlanta is just getting Trent and Teague, why wouldn't we want Collins who is clearly the best player in the trade?

We can't afford him, Dame, and CJ. Smart would fit like a glove next to any of our defense challenged backcourt players and is on a reasonable contract.

A collins for Bradley swap works straight up but not sure why we'd do it.

And he doesn’t defend, Stotts would love him.

I don’t really trust Amico, but Bradley would be a great fit. Why is Miami shopping him?
Our “defenders” don’t defend either. So might as well get someone who can make a shot.

that’s the thing with Olshey. I just have a hard time picturing him trading any of his players. He always waits until they leave for nothing or deals them a year too late.

I like Markkanen, but we have plenty of guys that can make a shot. I mean if we’re saying fuck defense let’s out score everyone, sure why not? That’s probably more realistic than turning into a good defensive team in the middle of the season anyway.

Avery Bradley rumor now

Bradley and Harkless for Hood, a future 1st, and a future 2nd

Olynyk, Bradley and a 1st for Collins, Simons, and Hood

If they add Nurkic and keep Covington or DJJ and add Markkanan I think they’ll be better off. Let Chicago have Collins or Simons, and DJJ or Trent or whatever.

a Bradley/Harkless package is intriguing. Harkless isn’t even in Miami’s rotation. Doubt we would have to give up a first though.

That was to get them to take Hood

Someone clear this up please

Do Hood and Jones have veto powers?
