PASSSSSSSSS!These are smaller trade targets but Memphis has a couple PFs on the bench not really playing big roles in Xavier Tillman and Brandon Clarke.
Another target I like is Kenrich Williams. I think everyone who isn’t a foundational piece for OKC can be had for the right price aka picks.
I was in on Grant (obviously) but the 6 week minimum injury has me paused.Shams today:
Blazers still interested in Simmons. Seems wherever he goes a three team deal is more likely
Blazers interested in Jerami Grant and his injury won’t affect his market. Detroit open to a move
Atlanta taking calls on Reddish. They want a first.
Suns taking calls on Jalen Smith
Teams calling NY about Knox

A deadline deal maybe, but not having contributors for 6 weeks if we make a deal now is rough. Need to see how far behind we are in the playoff hunt at that point.why? The deadline is further away than that.
that puts us into the tax more. Color me reactionary, but I'd rather trade CJ than Ant in a deal for Grant.View attachment 42906
This is probably what it would be. Covington hopefully routed to a 3rd team that sends dead salary and some picks back to Detroit, or else Detroit probably asks for a first from us.
Is the 3M + 1.5M (from another minimum player that we have to sign) worth the upgrade to Grant from Covington, and losing Simons? I don't even know. Nothing really makes sense with CJ still on the roster.
Yeah, so would everyone else, especially Detroit.that puts us into the tax more. Color me reactionary, but I'd rather trade CJ than Ant in a deal for Grant.
I only put Ant because I don't see Detroit having interest in anyone on our team besides Ant and Little.I would trade both CJ and Norm before Ant. Doubt Detroit wants players that aren’t on Cunningham’s timeline though so it would have to be a three way.
Not sure why are we so scared paying taxes if we are winning.that puts us into the tax more. Color me reactionary, but I'd rather trade CJ than Ant in a deal for Grant.
we're 11-16. a team like that should not be in the tax especially if it has plans or retooling next year. Not sure why are we so scared paying taxes if we are winning.
What could the lakers offer?
I'm more interested in these pieces of info from Shams than the Grant/Simmons ideas. I've long been mentioning the Hawks as a trade partner. Fischer also said last week that Utah might be a team looking for a guy like Roco. Two birds, one stone.
Rival teams are expressing interest in Hawks swingman Cam Reddish, but those teams believe Atlanta seeks a first-round draft pick for Reddish, sources said.
The Jazz are pursuing a defensive-minded wing on the trade market, sources said.

(oh, and this would work after Dec 15)
The Detroit Pistons receive calls from "dozens of teams" each interested in trading for Jerami Grant. While Grant is out for multiple weeks with torn ligaments in his right thumb, it is unlikely to impact his trade value.
The Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers are among the teams with interest in Grant.
two minimum caliber players and a pick for a starting quality guy who is a year removed from being considered one of the premiere 3&d guys in the league? im going by what fischer said when he suggested we could get a pick for him and that he's still valued in some circles. I trust what he says over some clueless people at Realgm.Gay has been good, and so has Whiteside. Why are they moving those two for Covington? Not to mention the 1st. Covington just doesn't have this type of value. I tried making a trade with the Jazz but there's no salaries. I think the Jazz are gonna be hunting for Tony Snell types.

The premise behind Indiana's rebuild is to break up Sabonis and Turner because they're a bad fit.View attachment 42910
Load up Indiana's offer with as many picks as you can get, to go with three expiring contracts.. Bogi could pay both SG and SF backup roles and we run with Dame, Powell, Little, Sabonis and Turner starting five. Smith, Ant, Bogi, Nance as bench mob.
