That's a bad return for one of Turner or Sabonis, let alone both of them.

Yeah, it's all based on the rumors they want to rebuild. 33 million cleared off the books, plus whatever picks(and there would have to be a lot) coming their way to make it work. But who knows what they're really up to. I'm just ready for some changes.

Very true. Something like this then. Not sure how Sixers would feel, but that would be a darn good return for Simmons, in my opinion.

Sabonis is a center in today's NBA. He's not a great fit next to Embiid who occupies a lot of space. They got away with Ben a bit because he's such a great playmaker with low usage, but Sixers don't really improve there bball wise. Maybe fair value for Simmons, but a terrible fit.

Yeah, it's fair value for Simmons in a vacuum--the main problem (aside from Sabonis being a terrible fit alonsgide Embiid) is that the Pacers get totally hosed (as does Atlanta to a lesser extent) so that Portland gets amazing bargains. McCollum, Nurkic and Covington in no way come close to the value of Turner, Simmons and Reddish. No matter how many picks you add, unless they're top-five picks.

if brown ever hits the market, a bidding war would inevitably ensue.

just crazy to me that CJ is even mentioned in the same breath.

Moving one of them, more likely Brown, could lead to a massive return and realign the roster around the remaining star and the incoming players. But who’s the main target: Ben Simmons? Bradley Beal? Domantas Sabonis? CJ McCollum? De’Aaron Fox? The list of realistically acquirable All-Star-caliber players is short. Waiting for the next crop of stars on the move could be far more appealing. Before moving either Brown or Tatum, Stevens should explore changes elsewhere on the roster, by looking at the Celtics’ multiple tradable short-term contracts (Smart, Josh Richardson, Al Horford) and young players who have shown promise (Robert Williams III, Romeo Langford).

I would give this some thought. Horford is simply a salary dump that we take on.
