So, Dame/Ant/Hart/Winslow/Eubanks, with Sharpe/Little/Walker/Watford. I hope Sharpe embraces the instant offense off the bench role tonight, 'cause I don't think anyone else can.

Injuries. Again. So damn frustrating.
think all this is preventative.

we are a good enough team to be able to sustain this kinda stuff to and still beat a 3-8 team that has lost 5 straight.

also, i love the kinda reps this potentially gives to deserving guys like watford/walker. building their confidence is only gonna make us better in the long run.

So, who's the unexpected player that's going to go off against us in the first half and piss off a bunch of people in this thread?

This is obvious load management. Team clearly thinks they are good enough to avoid having to play some of their main guys on both nights of a back to back against a bad team.

Dame even said during last game's postgame that he would have played both PHX games if they gave him the option.

Might start out flat, to be honest. Dame and Ant are the only two "shooters" in the starting lineup. Can't imagine the spacing being great. But, Billups has earned my trust. Let's do this.

Why is everybody and their sisters on the injury report

he had 15 points on 38% shooting (33% from three). Clearly far from the scrubs going off for 30 points games against us in seasons past
we are team that gave up season highs nightly in previous years. this is nothing

Jabari Walker can shoot from everywhere, so can Little. Walker's shown to have some very nice skills around the hoop too.

Little is not a PF in my opinion. Walker could play PF, but it's a big jump going from 2nd round 12th man to starter.

It's funny that it feels the way. I looked into this once and it didn't appear we were abnormal in giving up career highs.

Obviously not a Yogi Ferrell performance, but it definitely had that kind of feel in the first half. Could also point out Strus in the first Heat game, Huerter in Sacramento, maybe Damion Lee a couple times, Jon Konchar in the Grizz game...there's usually someone on the opponent who surprises early.

And I'm not saying it's someone who's going to go off for 4 quarters--just someone who will earn the forum's vitriol after hitting a few shots.

Never mind--clearly nobody (except @theprunetang) wants to play. no worries.

FTR, my guess would be Theo Maledon.

The Blazers get up to first place with a Jazz loss in Atlanta . Would a Denver loss also be required?

No, because Portland has the tie-breaker over Denver by virtue of a H2H win.
