It’s crazy because it stops as soon as Billups calls a timeout and chews on them for it.The turnover issue needs to be dealt with.
Still, it was a win in the middle of a tough road trip. I doubt anyone will turn it down.
Good to see you on here again. I was just today thinking of sending out a search party!Good win. I haven't seen to many games this year but what see really good mix of players. Mentally tuff especially on defense and never quit in this team. Been really impressed with Sharpe so far this year and I see walker some run tonight.
Yep.Remember Dame pretty much brought them back from down 12 single-handedly.
Like 10 straight points or something like that?
Portland started the 3rdQ with the worst 6 minutes of the season....Last year's tanking Blazers looked at those 6 minutes and were jealous
but Dame said "hold my beer' and led the Blazers back to their early season magic.
Portland lost the turnover battles 11-17 and had some really bad ones. They gave up 20 offensive rebounds. Dame & Ant missed 7 FT's. And they still won by 10 on the road. Either Portland is pretty good or Charlotte is pretty bad
I was almost hoping that my power would go off again in the 3rd quarter until Dame came to the rescue!Portland started the 3rdQ with the worst 6 minutes of the season....Last year's tanking Blazers looked at those 6 minutes and were jealous

Even if you don't have the most talent on the court you can still win with heart and hustle. This team has that so far this year.Yep.
EVERYONE CONTRIBUTED.
Shaedon was spectacular, Dame was Dame, Ant was off shooting, but the spacing, and the fact that the defense has to account for him, is still a contribution, Trendon is so smart, Drew was keeping them alive in the first, and really shut Plumlee down in the 2nd half, Jabari Walker doesn't play like a guy who doesn't play!, he was a factor!...and Josh Hart....Boxscore says he sucked....But no way Portland wins this game without him. He accounts for so many possessions, which is what I am really noticing about this team...The Ball Belongs To Them!! It seems they either get or almost get every 50/50 ball, and chances are #11 is in the mix.
Justice had a tough game tonight, but he just adds a toughness that they all feed off of.
They all seem to have, and know their roles.
I'm thinking about a month or so after GPII gets going, we may see a masterpiece or two from this group. What I keep thinking is, have we put together a full good game yet?
Is anyone else starting to get that feeling of "yeah, the team is playing horrible, but...they're not out of it"?
and also the feeling of being a little giddy whenever they see a Shaedon play?
We've broken that law at least twice already this season.Lawler's Law.
Well, it's a well known fact it doesn't apply to a Dame Lillard team being down, only to when WE have 100 first. We've broken that law at least twice already this season.
I don't think Billups will be able to not play Sharpe minutes. So when GPII comes back where do the minutes come from? Less minutes for Dame and Ant? Hart to Bench? GPII bumping Sharpe in rotation at guard? I hate to think about Sharpe getting less minutes and touches. It's so clear he's the future.
I don't think Billups will be able to not play Sharpe minutes.
Nice to get Nurk and Grant a rest night and still get a win.
If there was ever a thing I questioned Stotts about it was not being able to see these types of opportunities to rest a player.
Great call by Billups and his staff on playing those end of bench players that can contribute and need minutes to grow and excel.
