So when GPII comes back where do the minutes come from? Less minutes for Dame and Ant? Hart to Bench? GPII bumping Sharpe in rotation at guard? I hate to think about Sharpe getting less minutes and touches. It's so clear he's the future.
Probably a little less from Ant and Dame, but a lot of minutes will come from Hart would be my guess. He’s probably averaging like 36mpg right now.

It's super early, so stupid to say, I'm sure. But I'm a huge Atlanta Braves fan as well. And last year, after the trade deadline, we started to go on a huge run, and a memorable quote from Joc Pederson was, "Maybe we are those mother fuckers". And that carried through. When people doubted, it was, maybe we are...This team has that same feeling(not championship contender, just under rated), where each game we can walk in and be those mother fuckers.

This is my guess as well. Get Dame an extra 2 or 3 minutes rest a night, same with Ant but bring Hart's minutes down to the low 20s. The thing I wonder about is if Nas will see the court.

There is a fact here though. We have a bunch and I mean 7 guys (Dame, Ant, Hart, GP2, Shae, Nas, Justise) that should get minutes at the 1, 2 or 3 spots but you can't play 7 guys in a rotation for only three spots... one of those guys (Justise) can get those minutes at the 4. The other fact that was painfully obvious tonight is that we're woefully lacking in quality bigs... we need at least one more than the one we currently have, especially since the one we currently have has only played 421 games in his 9 seasons in the league. That's less than 47 games a season.

There will be at least a trade, I don't know who will go out and who will come in but we will make a trade that sends at least one of those seven guys out and brings us back a legit backup big.

Also I get that Josh has played really well and that Gary was a major component in last season's championship but we should not be talking about cutting Shaedon's minutes, we should be talking about getting him more minutes, more touches and more plays called for him.

Why are the Hornets not playing Mark Williams?? Might as well trade him to us.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see small ball lineups where we see Payton at the 3 or even the 4.

Last year in the Finals he spent a lot of time guarding Tatum. It was a matchup Kerr liked.

I wonder if all the people with birthdays on this day realize that they were probably conceived on Valentine's Day? Give that some thought.. Your mom just getting totally plowed all because your dad bought some roses...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I thought he was injured
Apparently he’s in the GL right now according to Hornets fans. Still doesn’t make sense though, they should give him minutes while to develop now while they suck. Let Williams learn and potentially foul out in games that don’t matter.

Just got home from seeing Lanny's wife.

Didn't see any of the game.

We won and it didn't take a last-second shot to do it, lol.

What else stood out to you all?
Sharpe's 17 points on 7/10 shooting and Dame's effortless 6/12 from 3pt range. We were sloppy with passes again, but Dame started hearing "Eye of the Tiger" in his head midway through the 3rd quarter and just took over.

I echo what others have said about Sharpe. More minutes, more touches. He can easily drop 25-30 points a night but people like Simons ignore him a lot. When he has it going, give it to him on every play. And be on the lookout for lobs.

Great win. 5-1 on the road. Let’s keep it going tomorrow night. It’ll be the first time we’ve ever watched Dame vs CJ. Could be a playoff preview too. Fun fun fun!

By the way, we’re 6-0, I think, when Dame plays the full game.

Is there a Ewing Theory with Nurk? If he’s so important, why did we get to the WCF without him? And we’ve only won 3 playoffs games with him playing. Total. Here’s hoping he can help us back to the WCF this time. I love the guy. I just want to see him lifting us to series wins this time around! This could be our year!

And yes, you can win titles with productive rookies:

Pet Peeve: it’s Justise with a S not C

Another good win while not playing especially well!

Sharpe showing real promise. Thought Walker and Watford looked like they are going to be great rotational pieces too.

Drew Eubanks is underated. Great hustle and actually quite mobile. We maybe lack a bit in rim protection when compared to Nurkic but we give up less in transition. Given the current level or turnovers, it's quite valuable!!

Simons does seem to ignore Sharpe.....the way CJ ignored Ant.

Though he scored well (especially in the first), I would say that Eubanks was one of our biggest negatives on defense last night. It was clear that sitting him down was crucial to stemming the tide in the 3rd after that 19-2 start by Charlotte.

Eubanks does a lot of good things in a backup role, but he was overmatched and lost last night.
