not worried... meaning play-in is still achievable?

OKC is the not more talented team, but by FAR the better coached team.

I’m not not bearish on Chauncey yet, but I’m definitely less bullish.

Well all the West teams are struggling. Let’s get the one in Denver and enjoy Christmas.

FT disparity looks awful, but I saw only a few missed calls go against us. Like the Jerami dunk late in the fourth should have been an and-1.

Dame and Ant hardly drove inside this game.

WTF happened at halftime? I thought our defense especially was on point in the first, but then went to shit in like 2 mins once the half started.

Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad loss.

Horrible loss. And those are starting to add up now.

The other night was an unfortunate loss. This was a game the Blazers had no business losing but they made it their business and business was good.

Dame showed no self-awareness and that might have been Chauncey's worst game as a coach, subbing out hot hands on multiple occasions in a game where it was hard to find offense, not calling time out when Justise was hurt and trying to play 4-on-5 which resulted eventually in Ant picking up his fifth foul and just no idea of what we were running on offense the last three quarters.

It's cliche' to say a team wanted it more, but, boy, it sure looked like the Thunder wanted it more tonight. And it wasn't even close. They played with multiple times our energy, back cutting and moving well without the ball, trapping on defense, getting offensive boards (which killed us several times now in the last couple of weeks) and getting loose balls.

Speaking of which, the Thunder were double-teaming down low the entire game and blitzing the high pick-and-roll and the Blazers execution when they should have been playing four-on-three was abominable.

We're going to have problems on the boards for the foreseeable future if Justise's injury is what I think it might be. We went from having too many guys of his type to basically now just having Trendon with Justise and Nas both hurt. And then signing GPII ... this team can't catch a break with the injuries.

BTW, I wonder if Dame might be hurt again, too. The way he played tonight was eerily similar to how he's played the last three times he's ended up missing action.

We looked absolutely awful tonight. Nothing positive comes out of this one whatsoever.

Billups made no adjustments. OKC did.

he's pretty clearly in the bottom half of the league's coaches right now. remains to be seen if he can turn it around, but i'm getting worried that he can't.

Yeah, you don't get fouls if you don't attack the basket. The FT disparity looks bad like it did the other night, but the Blazers, IMO, were more at fault than the officials.

Our offense right now is a mess. No one knows how to move without the ball, set a good screen, use a screen or, biggest of all, pass the ball.

This team just has no killer instinct. You blow a big lead in Dame’s record breaking game and lose. You would think that once you get another big lead in this game, you would not let them come back.

that's the thing. I thought we looked awesome in the first quarter especially. ball was popping around, everyone was driving and kicking, we had them locked down on D.

OKC stepped up their aggression on defense against our guards, and we just wilted and the gameplan got tossed out the window.

don't like seeing that.

As well as the hardly any tactical counters by our coach to go against their overplays. Like the high low we ran three straight times was nice. Where was that kinda stuff earlier? Chauncey has to be quicker with adjustments or we're gonna keep dropping games like this.

In my opinion, it didn’t even looked like OKC wanted it more. It just looked like they followed their game plan and out executed us.

Dame took it personal and shot OKC back into the game. I really don't understand the way he's forced thing these two games. Some of his turnovers are the worst things I've ever seen from him and all the really bad misses on the 3s and he just kept trying to shoot himself out of it -- like I said, I hope it's not the case, but it reminded me of how he played before shutting it down last year and before taking time off the two times this season; he didn't look physically right to me.

dort had him in a straitjacket and his response was to jack contested 28 footers. the few times he drove inside, he either made great passes for buckets or scored himself. baffled why chauncey didn't beat it into him to keep doing that.

i know it's coming, but i don't wanna hear bitching about the refs from our players tonight. the more aggressive team got the calls. that's usually the case.

You have an absolute advantage with Nurkic in the post. OKC has no one that can guard him, yet Dame is just jacking up shots when he’s struggling.

So frustrating.

no they won't blow it up. How many contenders would take on Dame's contract and also give back picks/top young talent? After all, they aren't gonna ship dame off to Detroit or Houston etc.

It's frustrating watching Dame go on multiple "I have to do it all by myself" runs with the players we can put out there with him now. We have other guys who can score. We can play mismatches and, when we do, positive things usually happen.

Well if Simons would get his head out of his ass we might have a tandem there.

Grant is good, but our offense is so awkward that we go long periods without going to him. Nurk spends most of his time setting a screens up top and is not being utilized at the basket. Grant is often relegated to corner threes.

They scored maybe 2 points on Nurk posts ups that whole second half and believe be they tried.

Nurkic should have dominated too. Weak.
The corner man left to double Nurkic and Nurkic couldn’t skip the ball over. Not that it mattered, the corner man is never a shooter anyways.

You don’t have to score off the Nurk post ups on every possession. You can initiate the offense through Nurk. OKC was auto-doubling Nurk every time. And when they doubled Nurk, the other players just stood around and didn’t cut so Nurk could pass it to cutters or shooters.
