What did Portland end up shooting in the 4th Q. TV guy said they were 13-16 toward the end. Blazers needed every make

* I get that SGA gets officiating that seems...off. Guess what though, Deni gets a lot of the same calls. Drive aggressively, lean into contact, fish for whistles. The Corey Maggette school of offense

* OKC looked pretty gassed in the 2nd half; ragged. They sure didn't look like the high BBIQ team they usually are. several dumb plays by the Thunder. Blazer defense helped that along

* Blazers shot 44% on three's and 38% on two's. Backasswards works sometimes. I wonder what the winning percentage is of teams that shoot over 44% on three's. Jrue was 0-6 on three's against the Lakers and 6-10 tonight

before the season, I didn't predict the first 8 games, but if I had, I would have said "probably 2-6; but 3-5 at best". Blazers are 3-1 in those toss-up close games. I did predict 40-41 wins, Not ready to come off that yet. That Laker loss is too recent

Wrongo!! Deni's drives actually receive hard contact, SGA, (which btw stands for Simulating Gravity Again), often gets no or little contact and then falls on the floor to try to sell a non-existent foul. He's a despicable player. I actually HATE him and players of that breed. He's a fake star, earning his points dishonorably. Yes, I know all players typically try to sell calls to some extent, but not all fall down every fucking time and act like SGA does. He also just has a petulant, punk face that is asking for a punch in the pretty-boy mouth.

He has the shooting skills to just be a great player without all the flopping, so it's disgusting that he's so damn nauseatingly greedy and tries to milk the free throw system so egregiously and also has a taste for the refs' rods.

The refs (NBA) tried HARD to fuck Portland over this game with the worst officiating I've ever seen (I was at the game) and have never heard the chant "REF U SUCK" in a MASSIVE roar from the whole arena, again and again. It was super loud! Was that picked up on the broadcast? It had to have been. I gotta go watch. The NBA should be ashamed. They have a hate-on for the Blazers and are trying to diminish all the great aspects of them.

Speaking of this: I am not seeing any national news praising or talking about the Blazers win, beating the Thunder and snapping their lossless record. The Inside crew didn't do a segment, SAS hasn't said anything......or have they? I haven't found anything, but haven't looked super hard....but shouldn't have to, this is HUGE news!

It's a hard game to watch sometimes. NBA makes me sick sometimes...OFT times.

Great victory last night and a fun read through the game thread this morning. So funny to read nega-posters competing to be the biggest chicken little. Welcome back Aldo, you win again!

I will again say that OKC is a model for us. Yes, they have a superstar player, but they played last night without FOUR starters and they didn't miss a beat. They know what kind of player works and they find them in the low first and second round in players like Mitchell, Wiggins, Joe, Dort et. al. If they weren't in Oklahoma and hadn't completely dominated us in recent years, I would root for them second behind the Blazers.

Yes. Yes he does. I called it before. Go look at the Denver game. Same thing.

He is a complete and total troll. He is only here to toss shade and make fun of the Blazers. He is not a fan at all or he would enjoy the wins.

This guy should not be here.
Send him off like other trolls.

hey man I admitted I was wrong but you forgot to quote that one. So convenient of u troller

Oh, you could hear the chant on TV loud and clear. I was worried that was going to incentivize the refs to screw us more. I guess they did try.

I seriously don’t get that rule where that is a foul. You simply cannot contest a three

Yeah, it kind of supports the intentional foul theory. Most teams have an excellent 3-point shooter, so the odds are good they can make it because, as you alluded to, you simply can't get close to the shooter because he is allowed a very large landing area. Unless you do what Thybulle does and come flying in from the side and try to swat it away.

I wanna punch the fan who keeps yelling “you don’t wanna be here” to Holiday.

What that in context to somewhere on the court, of playing for the Blazers?

Duop was 4-5 from 3 last night. When a player is on, I wish the team would run plays for then when they are hot. He should have had more shots. Teams are going to leave him open. Make them pay.

I wondered if it would do something similar or also hoping that they would be shamed or guilted into calling the game honestly and correctly. No chance of that. They kept up their dirty calls all night.

Apologize for what? Trolling or disappearing during wins?

@AldoTrapani i dont read overt post of every thread. Honestly i skim past yours mostly because of your continual negativity and inability to support the team when winning.

If you apologized then fair enough, Because you should have. Now go apologize in the Denver thread too.

Just stop trolling us real fans with your, “I told ya so” crap, but then never supporting them when you are wrong.

I don't understand why you or others wouldn't just set him to ignore?

There are times this year where our defense and the way it transitions to easy layups on the other end totally reminds me of OKC.

Obviously we need many improvements before we're a quality playoff team. But maybe we will be a team just below .500 like OKC was in 2023. They won a playin game which I think was great experience for them winning a playoff series the following year and the title 2 years later.

One thing I've noticed about OKC is they usually don't have any weak link defensively. That has made their team so much more difficult to play against. It really has me question if Dame even with a miraculous Achilles recovery can ever have a role on the Blazers trying to become a contender.

this constant whining about officiating is weird. The NBA hasn't changed the officiating dynamics in the last few decades. Stars get calls, they always have, always will. That will never change. Dame sure got a lot of calls when he went fishing for whistles in his prime.

OKC got called for more fouls than Portland last night. Blazers shot more FT's even though they also shot more three's and had less points in the paint, and a lower percentage of their points came in the paint

both SGA and Avdija fish for whistles and put the onus on the officials. SGA does it with finesse and twisty-turny-lean-this-way-and-that deception. Deni does it with 'straight-line-bull-in-a-china-shop-slam-into-a-crowd' physical aggression. The styles are different but the intent is the same: get to the FT line. You can try and argue that Deni 'earns' his FT's more 'legitimately', but that's kind of homerific. Like saying Shaq's style was more legitimate than Hakeem's

This is completely false and untrue. It's not even subjective. There were lots of calls where there was not even any legitimate contact. You have to follow the letter of the rule with the regulations. Are you blind?

Other players were doing it, but:

SGA is a gross manipulator.

It's so disgusting; somebody like him who has the skills to shoot like he does and drive and move like he does and then he has to milk the system to death like the swollen dong of a big fat bull in a barnyard being mechanically released again and again by a sadistic and misguided hick who has grown bored with his backyard beat-off routine where he watches disproportionately-sized dogs mating mindlessly after bating them with Cialis and ExtenZe laced Purina for weeks and weeks.

Is this what you want to watch??? Is this how you are entertained? I hate the Thunder and guys like Suck Guys Audaciously.
