Obviously big ups to Caleb and Sidy, but I was most encouraged by Clingan ACTUALLY DUNKING! A LOT!

It was the Warriors' first home loss of the season.I am proud of the team today, winning at Chase arena is really tough so I would take any win at Chase arena!
Do you think he was slightly upset after having monster game and still not being in at end of game?Obviously big ups to Caleb and Sidy, but I was most encouraged by Clingan ACTUALLY DUNKING! A LOT!
Man I can’t stand players like that but microwave players can really come in handy and help change games. Come playoff time something to keep in mind if you need someone to maybe change momentum in a game you send him in for a stint to see if microwave is workingLove will drive you crazy, but he also has no conscience, and sometimes in basketball you need guys like that.
You always need guys that don't live in their last possession, either, or become gunshy after a miss or two. What was it Maravich said? Each time I miss it increases the odds I'll make the next one.
Love rose to the occasion tonight. Even has me wondering if they might give him a shot at starting next game, when he very well might shoot 1-12 again.
But what I really loved as much as the scoring? Five assists. One turnover. And seven rebounds. He played within himself, and succeeded.
Man, I love beating the Warrios.
Tiago Splitter = Coach of the Year
I think Clingan has been programmed only to care about winning. You can't play for a Hurley and be pouty.Do you think he was slightly upset after having monster game and still not being in at end of game?
The radio guys were saying that the previous game when Deni had 11 assists, he actually had enough potential assists in that game to break Scott Skiles assist record with 28 assists if our guys could have just made wide open shots. I found that amazing. Deni is a hell of a player
those are the kinds of factoid projections that seem like nonsense to meThe radio guys were saying that the previous game when Deni had 11 assists, he actually had enough potential assists in that game to break Scott Skiles assist record with 28 assists if our guys could have just made wide open shots. not if he keeps benching him in 4th Q's and OTSplitter is the best possible coach for Clingan.
Come on. Give it to Tiago. You know you want to.Lol no.
yeah, he's been awesome the last 4 games; but contrary to a lot of the Clingan-bashing around here he's been pretty good all season. Yeah, he's had a couple of stinker games, but so has every BlazerThis is the Clingan I want to be seeing. He's been great the last 4 games.
| Toumani Camara | 553 |
| Deni Avdija | 550 |
| Jerami Grant | 430 |
| Donovan Clingan | 410 |
| Jrue Holiday | 401 |
| Shaedon Sharpe | 400 |
| Kris Murray | 350 |
| Sidy Cissoko | 162 |
| Caleb Love | 133 |
| Robert Williams | 128 |
You've been avoiding my posts in the OT thread to find me here?Diddy doing good things?![]()
Great size. Pretty good bb IQ. Good on defense. Offense has been nonexistent until last night. Would be a good player if he can contribute on that end.Who knew?
I haven't noticed any Clingan bashing. Just wanted him to do a bit more. He's been pretty good all season. His highs last season were really high and of course, being a greedy fan base we want more of that. He can be a real game changer if he keeps it up.yeah, he's been awesome the last 4 games; but contrary to a lot of the Clingan-bashing around here he's been pretty good all season. Yeah, he's had a couple of stinker games, but so has every Blazer
personally, prior to the 2024 draft, I didn't want the Blazers in invest a 7th pick on Clingan. I was really skeptical about the overall impact of slow, big, drop-coverage C's in the 'new' NBA. I still am skeptical, which is why the Yang selection baffled me so much. I think the Blazers screwed up the last draft
anyway, Clingan's play last season altered my perspective quite a bit. His paint defense, rim protection, and rebounding, especially on the offensive glass was all high impact. I think he had an adjustment period for the scheme changes this season, and different systems, but he's been slowly improving until he started having the types of games he's had in the 10 days or so
if you sort rankings for the 10 Blazers who have played more than 100 minutes:
Toumani Camara 553 Deni Avdija 550 Jerami Grant 430 Donovan Clingan 410 Jrue Holiday 401 Shaedon Sharpe 400 Kris Murray 350 Sidy Cissoko 162 Caleb Love 133 Robert Williams 128
then, Clingan is 2nd in offensive and defensive rating (behind Timelord); 3rd in PER; obviously 1st in rebound rate and 3rd in the NBA in offensive rebound rate; 1st in winshares/48; 5th in OBPM; 5th in DBPM; and 4th in BPM
Portland would be a deep lottery team without him

Not sure which cameras you are talking about? Give me some more info.Shoutout to @THE HCP and the end zone camera folks, they really make the game cinematic. That arena is also fucking huge.
I'm going to be a nerd but there's a certain sunny, slightly overexposed look to the contrast tonight that reminds me of KTVU's (Channel 2 Oakland) broadcasts, which I got to see on cable back when I lived in the butt-end of Oregon. Felt almost nostalgic watching the game. Were the side-on cameras run by the arena or do you bring your own crew for that?
POSTSEASON !!??5-0 vs GS/Denver/OKC/Utah, the teams we are most likely to face in post season.
PLAYOFF TIME!!??Come playoff time
The main action cameras, that swing side to side to show the main game action. Not sure which cameras you are talking about? Give me some more info.
I mean, playoff time is real whether we’re in them or notPLAYOFF TIME!!??
Might be good for Yang as well.Splitter is the best possible coach for Clingan.
It’s Avdija, not Advija. Sorry, it’s just a pet peeve of mine.Advija shows great leadership skills. Chides teammates when he needs to . Always pointing things out.
