I'm trying to figure this out. I think it's related to why Billups puts Grant guarding a guard and then Lillar or Simons guards whoever is considered weak offensively. Why does he do this? 1. Grant is not really big and strong enough to be a PF. 2. Simons (Lillard?) is a bad defender. The solution is to trade Simons for someone like Siakam, whatever it takes.

I'd like to elaborate on this a little bit becasue I know a lot fo people have questioned why Greant always guards a guard. I think this is the coaches trying to compensate for a defensively weak roster. They are at least trying to do something creative. It may still be an experiment. Grant has never defended guards regulary but I think they hope that with his athleticism, with practice, he can do it.
