That last part is a joke right?

You think this is better than the roster we had before the Nurk injury that went to WCF without Nurk?!? Really?!? And that was basically our roster for a few seasons. This is actually a far far worse bench than any bench that Stotts had. It's also a starting lineup that has talent but doesn't fit... which Terry also had to deal with. But come on. This is a roster that's better than any that Terry had? I don't think that Terry had a worse constructed roster during his time here. He certainly never had one this small.
Yes, hands down.

C’mon Luka, go rest the next two games as we need the win

Nah, he loves destroying the Blazers. Seems to be his favorite team to beat. But, then I guess the Blazers are everybody's favorite team to beat.

I hope PK buys the blazers and completely resets the clock from the top down. Everyone whining about trying to make the playin game is gonna get some harsh reality in 3 seasons when Dame is a spot up shooter in the corner making 50 mil a year. Look how fast Love fell off. He’s 2 years older. We are most likely fucked.

and I love Dame.

you're talking about dame falling off on a night when he drops 50.

man, gtfo.

It might not. The truth is that I don't think that Joe is a dumb guy. I don't think it matters if we go on a run and win the next six games (it's not happening but still) Joe has seen that this roster doesn't work and he will make moves. Let's just hope they are good moves that end up with a roster that makes sense for the first time since LaMarcus, Nic, Wes and RoLo left.

Can't turn shit into gold no matter how hard you try.

Yeah if you can read I said in 2 years when we are paying him 50 mil to try and get that 8 seed again. Gtfo
what did dame do tonight to indicate that he's gonna drop off like love? terrific analysis there.

Yes, hands down.
Cool, you think this is a better roster than the one Stotts coached when he first got here and the one he coached to the conference finals. That's ridiculous. You don't see the problem with the construction of the bench? You don't see that Ant is just as bad of a fit next to Dame as CJ... if not worse? If that's the case you're blind.

I’m not a fan of “see I was right” and “I called it” but it kind of would be nice to track the big issue of Lillard. Been topic of conversation for a while now. Clearly have some from two years ago saying rebuild and get assets and then those who barf just thinking of it. Can see both sides. But it’s been so clear for such a long time now this team isn’t winning any more than half its games with Lillard and his astronomical salary. What a huge overpay. Love him and think he’s awesome but it sucks that we just have to watch this until he retires.

dame's contract two years from now is the reason the rest of the team sucks and this coach still can't coach his way out of a paper bag in close games?

I don't think that Ant is shit, I think he's shit next to Dame. I don't think that the overall talent on this squad is shit, I don't think it's winning a championship but it's also not shit. I think the lack of mobile big men is a big problem that can be changed. I think we can get a player more complementary to Dame than Ant is for Ant. I'm not expecting alchemy or contending this season, just a roster that makes more sense.

I'd rather had gotten blown out.

Who said one thing about tonight, how many 35 year old point guards in the league right now are worth 50 mil? Cause that’s what’s gonna happen. Turn down the homerism a bit bro. No one is saying Dame sucks, I’m saying he’s probably gonna be holding us back with that salary cap hit more than he will be helping at that point. Relax

lol now it's his salary that's holding us back? get your story straight.

not only 50, but he got there with several explosive athletic drives to the rim. He's also playing the best defense of his career

And then gave up at the end.

I would say the forwards on this roster are the best Portland has had since Aldridge/Batum. The bench is bad, as have many of the Blazers benches in the last 6-7 seasons. Ant isn't as good (today) as CJ was 2 years ago, but that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

wtf

gave up?

he made jerami miss two wide open threes? he made josh scared to shoot? he benched the wrong guy to play GP?

Sorry, gave up is a bit strong.

He became too passive at the end.

I agree, except that the talent on this bench isn't big enough... we haven't seen the lack of post depth like this before.

Oh, not that first year. My fault.
