Changes....but not MAJOR changes. Still have (and re-signed Nurk) and still are built around small guards who don't play much D. So some of the pieces moved, but the identity is still very much the same. 'Win by outscoring the other team.'

Until that changes, and the personnel that goes with it, this will continue to be one repeated season after another.

If trading 60% of your starting lineup and your 2nd best player isn't major, then I guess you want Dame gone.

If Chauncey is going to remain our head coach, Joe would be a fool not to majorly overhaul the roster around Dame. I honestly think he should be actively shopping everyone besides Dame, Jerami and Shae... I don't just think he should be doing that, he's a fucking idiot if he isn't/doesn't.
I think he should trade the whole roster and start over again.

No worries if you don't get it. I'm having the exact same conversation with my text group and they get the big picture of it.

Don't quite your day job for mind reading/guessing. It's not going well.

You think that he has NOT been building around Dame?

This is the best he could do. It wasn't good enough, and it was obvious coming into this season that it wasn't going to be good enough. Tearing down to build around Dame and Grant... that's nuts. It's either tear it down or fiddle with the roster and cross your fingers something clicks. Both of them are worse options now than they were when the team fired Olshey.

When you lose a game like that everything is going to irritate you, especially some media schlubs

The media is the conduit between the people paying to attend these games and buying team merch and the players, coaches and front office. Dame's done a lot for this organization, but some of the money going into his bank account is coming indirectly from the people the reporters are asking questions for. And, let's face it, you're getting paid and basically this organization followed your lead for what would make a winning team, so you deserve to get asked the questions.

There isn’t a realistic or obtainable trade target to solve this teams problems.
That’s what I’ve been saying for awhile. Nothing is going to get this team anywhere close to playoff success. The best solution is to trade the whole roster and hope the new team is better. At least that way there is some hope. Right now there is no hope.

This.

I see times when I can't tell if Chauncey or Stotts is coaching them a little too often. A little too much iso or questionable shot selection or playing defense like we'll just get it back on the other end.

I thought he was a good coaching choice because of what he'd bring in terms of a tougher, more consistent team, but a huge part of them was presuming on my part that the team would buy in. They either haven't or just can't get it. I tend to believe it's the former.
Yeah, I don't think this roster can compete under Chauncey and his philosophies and I mean the vast majority of the roster. So I would be thrilled if the only remaining starters after the deadline are Dame and JG and if the only remaining rotational bench players still here are Shae, GP2 and maybe Nas. Everyone else can and should go. Actually I would trade GP2 and Nas as well but due to their health and contracts I don't think they would be positive trade value in any trade and if healthy both guys could be great bench pieces in Chauncey's system.

It’s becoming a point in his career where Lillard is the 2nd piece to the Championship aspiring team. Not building around him

It is definitely time to shake up the starting lineup. Even if it does nothing, it shows that Billups is unhappy with what's going on now.

Don't worry, my decision to quit my day job will not be impacted by your text group.

Billups in the postgame came across as even more clueless than he did during the game. There is no chance he is going to make any adjustments.

He needs to be fired. Bring in Quin Snyder.
