Billups needs to give more minutes to bench players if they are hitting shots and the starters aren't hitting shots or stopping the other team.

In this game that would be Watford.

Jez even pointed out that the Wizards leaving the mid range open, which is where Watford is making his shots though he also made a 3-pointer.
It's weird to me to see "starters" (other than Dame) treated like they were part of a championship unit.
 
as bad as the Blazer offense was, it was still better than the Blazer defense.....geeeezuz

Agreed. And where’s Keon? Starters aren’t getting it done. Let Keon get some shots up and run a 2 man game with TW.

This team is not gonna have any consistency on the second unit if they keep alternating between 4 guys initiating the offense in the half court. Fast break, it's gonna happen that way. But bringing the ball up the court and initiating there has to be more consistency.

Second unit ain’t the problem. This starting lineup continually get down by 20+ at the start of every game
 
At what point will Billups lose this team? These kind of games have to be very frustrating for the team.
 
unless the Blazers close the gap significantly in the 3rd, which I don't expect at all, I hope Chauncey has the brrains to call the game a lost cause and pull starters since there's another game starting in 24 hours

These slow starts are so frustrating. They have become so repetitive and pervasive that you can literally see them developing just 2-4 possessions into the game. Yet Chauncey is always slow to react and waits until it balloons into double digits.

Blazers still look confused as hell on defense
 
I hope Billups doesn't take that it all is well.
Having Simons go crazy doesn't make up for his team's horrible start.
 
People getting on Hart but he's 4-8. Grant, on the other hand, is 1-5

Maybe he watched our Summer League team get a title doing exactly the same - massively outscored in the first quarter, then charge back. Almost every single game.
 
Well I started watching in the second half and it seems to be working, so I will continue.
 
LoL…..Keep developing around Dame because it’s working out so well. You wouldn’t want to take any chances on trading some of youth for some veterans to go with it. Dame.
 
Well get it to 10 and then give up a 5-0 run out of the timeout. Not ideal.
 
This is how we have to win against this team. Hit a bunch of threes.
