Was he ever a Blazer?

I remember when Joe Wolf was our savior and we bowed down to THE

Nope, Bobby never played for the Blazers. Mostly Utah....but every Blazer fan over the age of 40 remembers him for one fucking quarter.

Game 6 of the 92 finals.

That little fucker...He's up there with Brian Shaw and Sean Elliott.

(ok, admittedly, it wasn't so much Bobby Hansen that did the Blazers in during game 6 of the 92 finals...but he was a scrub who I hate because of that quarter. Though I should actually hold resentment towards Rick Adleman for how his coaching lost them the 91 conference finals because of game 1 and game 6 of the finals in 92. For those who aren't familiar, the team had a 15 point lead going into the 4th quarter of game 6...and in the 91 conference finals, they had a 12 point lead going into the 4th in game 1...at fucking home....DAMNIT now i'm pissed)

iirc, my brother met him once at a local mcdonalds back when he was on the team. Said he looked like an average joe who was just a fan of a buzz cut.

Yeah he had the Tom Peterson hair cut. Looked just like my middle school PE teacher. I think he was just on a 10 day contract or two. But he hit a couple jumpers and the fans went bananas.

As for Craig Neal, a couple years back he was the head coach at New Mexico. Saw him on TV and remembered he had a cup of coffee with the Blazers.

Did they? Powell and RoCo haven’t improved the team. They missed the playoffs last year and are mediocre again this year.

Powell has.

Winslow and Keon sure haven't improved ours.

If Sacramento is lighting the beam after a win, maybe the Blazers should be lighting something up when we lose.

they should be lighting the wick on an M80...

LMAO Chauncey “I thought we played hard. I thought we played well.”

Blazers sure know how to throw away fourth quarter leads in the playoffs.

Keon Johnson reminds me of James Hollywood Robinson. Except, Hollywood had a little better jumper.

I got all of those references. I mean hell, I made a Craig Neal one earlier

Was Elliott Perry actually a Blazer or just a training camp invite and then thrived in Phoenix. He was memorable because he was scrawny, had goggles and really high socks. But I remember him playing with Barkley. Don’t have any of my Blazer guides handy right now

Leonard was hurt in 2021 too. But my point is the Clippers didn’t improve and Kawhi’s playing this year and they’re still mediocre.

Better than the Blazers.

He sucks handling the ball. It was a disaster waiting to happen. I don't know why Billips thought Keon makes a good point guard. I think Thybulle would do a better job if Billups just looked at who could dribble well.

Keon is not a PG. Well, I guess he is our 4th string PG, but Chauncy did not start him there for a reason. As an SG he is not that bad.
Even as bad as he played tonight he was 3-3 from deep with 3 assists and 3 steals. His D is above average.

Lakers had 5 bench players in double figures against the Warriors.

What is irritating me tonight is that if the team decides to tank again, which they should, they’ll bring Chauncey back next year, and he is not a great coach…..so far anyway.

Keon came in in the second qtr and bricked a bunch of shots in a row losing our cushion....he made a few later but as soon as he came in, we gave up a huge run by the Kings.

I don't know that we'll ever get back to playoffs with him at the helm. Stotts is laughing all the way to the bank.

Billups was Olshey's final fuck you to us.

Based on tonight I would either start Grant and Watford at forwards (with SS and Dame) to see if it can work, or I would start Little and Grant.

Either Billups has been asked to tank or he’s about to be fired. Why on earth is our coach saying we played great after getting blown out? What happened to our culture?? Playing like crap is acceptable now?

I think he was on the training camp roster, and was the last cut before the regular season. Then went to Phoenix and the rest was history.

We should be asking ourselves this: if we get Wembanyama, do we want Billups to be our coach? The answer has to be no.

This game.

Also, am I the only person who always thought BJ Armstrong looked 12 years old?

Kind of crazy seeing a younger Glickman in that video too

Yeah because he was playing out of position. When he played early in the season with some starters you didn't see him jacking up shots. Tonight players were put in a position they could not handle for a whole game. They were all role players forced to take a new role with little preparation. It was like watching a summer league game, but there were some encouraging things.

Either he said it to be a smart ass because tanking, he doesn't know what he is talking about, or naively thinks the Blazers actually played well tonight.
