Truth.
Mitchell needed 10+ more minutes to get his 71.
Dame is getting 80+ with 10 more minutes.
If the refs give him 25 free throws like they gave Mitchell, he easily breaks 80+.Let's face it, 80 was in play had he played selfishly.
Tonight's performance gets him up to 32.25 ppg. Solidly in 3rd, and less than 1 ppg behind Luka/Embiid. If he wants it, I absolutely believe he can get the scoring title.Yeah, given the team that he has, we can almost expect Dame to lead the league in ppg by the end of the season and increase his apg.
I don't know if Dame wants to lead the league in scoring but look at the team around him. Even if healthy the only way we make the playoffs is if Dame averages 40 for the rest of the season and that will likely have him leading the league in ppg.Tonight's performance gets him up to 32.25 ppg. If there is any complaining I am so high on tonight's performance by Dame that I didn't even notice it. We're all fortunate to be Blazers fans in the Dame Lillard era.Just witnessed maybe the most amazing performance I've ever seen on the court....and I come on here and there are "fans" actually complaining about shit. I just don't get you people. #RipCity
Looks like Dame is not actively going for 60+ tonight. Boo.

And you request a trade to the Suns?
the fear isn't his dropoff.
the fear is the opportunity cost of wasting away an MVP caliber yr while potentially not even making the play-in
You can feel however you want, but I can simultaneously be thrilled about Dame and in awe of his skill while also being frustrated that we are watching greatness being wasted on a mediocre roster that we don’t seem to care enough to improve. There were posts regarding the lack of roster around him, the competition, the way he was getting shots, that the game wasn't decided early despite him having 40+. So while nobody was complaining about how great Dame is, they were finding a way to take a magical performance and point out how the situation was less than perfect. I'm far from Mr. Rose Colored Glasses, but there wasn't a chance in hell I was going to watch that performance and be anything but appreciative.
And the fact there are more amazing performances in front of us, excites me.
None of those players were stars. We overpaid for role players. When we talk about going all in, we aren’t talking about role players. To be completely fair, opportunity cost type thinking is what got O****y into this mess.
Oh shit! Better get Covington for two picks!
Oh shit! Better burn a first on LNJ!
Oh shit! Better move off GTJ for a UFA—putting us in a small market Bird Rights trap!

It'll never happen. To be completely fair, opportunity cost type thinking is what got O****y into this mess.

I’m done with the firehouse approach. Dame got his super max bag. He can wait a tick while the team gets its asset house in order.
I hope we can really help Lillard over the long run. A lottery pick, the Knicks pick plus Simons and Little (if he keeps shooting well) could hopefully get us a really good player this summer.I really hope we can make a run to end the season around the 4th seed. If we do that, Dame could have a legitimate chance at the MVP.
