Bro nobody ever compare Cj to Simons. He’s nothing compared to CJ McCollum

McCollum scored 625 points in 100 total regular season games his first two seasons, and he turned 24 right before his third season.

Simons has scored 1290 points this year (after 988 points last year) and won't turn 24 until the offseason.

Simons is way, way ahead of CJ at the same age and that promises that he can be much, much better over the course of his career (both in terms of total production and peak production). Right now he's probably not as good (although he's outscoring him on a PPG basis) but his future is much brighter.

There is no requirment around here to be educated on the topic to have a strong opinion.

If you're losing, you are a bad manager, and you must tank. Your effort is horrible, your substitution patterns are awful, and I'd say anyone who knows basketball could do better.

How'd I do?
This got a laugh out of me

I don’t know if the Blazers will win, but I’m enjoying Russell Westbrook humiliation night.

I don't think age matters as much as seasons in the league.

This "Legends Cast" on 1253 featuring Neil Everett, Chris Dudley, Terry Porter, and Antonio Harvey is something...
I think it's pretty interesting... play by play isn't very helpful in a basketball broadcast, IMO, because there are so few players (it's harder, for example, to spot who made a tackle in college football) and given the overall lack of exciting play by the Blazers, at least hearing Det and Petrie tell stories is something interesting :)

NBA team definitely prefer younger players due to their upside relative to older players (in terms of where they draft them and, presumably, how much they pay them).

CJ was drafted as a mature college player and then took a couple of years to before becoming near-all star level in terms of scoring production. Anfernee was drafted young and took three seasons before hitting 17ppg. While that is one year longer, it's still more impressive than CJ's early career and indicates a better career arc to me.

I hope Billups accomplished all of his goals for this game whatever they were.
Because he sure did not make it interesting or entertaining to watch.
Why is Nassir Little in the game instead of Shaedon Sharpe?
I don't think I can watch much more of this garbage.

The Blazers obviously have problems, but I'm sick of watching our games officiated like we're an average American college team doing a tour of the Soviet Union in the 1970s and all three of the refs have last names ending with -vich.

There were several cases tonight where the game wasn't called the same on both ends, but Nurk's 3 that was retroactively wiped off was the equivalent of the officials saying "We don't want to risk this going to OT." It's supposed to be clear visual evidence to overturn, and there wasn't a way to clearly tell on that. Bogus.

That Portland was close for a decent part of the game is quite an accomplishment given that Dame/Ant were 10-32.

Holy Bricklayer Batman!!!

And Lillard, Simons, Thybulle and Little, 2 for 21 from 3.

“I’m ready to run through a wall for [Billups], no matter what." - Jerami Grant

"I'm going to miss a few games while we watch the play-in chances fade and then yuck it up with the Clippers while eating popcorn after a loss."* - Jerami Grant

This dude is not that good even when healthy. I hope we let some other team overpay him.

I get the frustration with Jerami. I want to see him back, but not at 30 to 35 mil. Too much chedder for his production. 25 mil. is about max. But the key now is winning that lottery.

Tonight was the 1st night in awhile where i thought Dame had heavy legs. He's been carrying too much weight. Nice to see Nurk finally show up. A day late, and a dollar short of course. But Nurk needs to work on his consistency from here out. This kind of performance needs to be more of the norm. Nurks best value is on this team. I hope he realizes how good he has it right now. He'd be a bench guy in most other places with the way he's played this year. Time to buck up Nurk.

You're entirely right that the cost will determine whether it's worth doing it or not. I'm just frustrated with him and I feel it's inevitable he's going to get too much from us. I hope I'm wrong.

He wasn't hitting from the perimeter (maybe, as you say, because of heavy legs) but he attacked the basket so effectively. I winced a couple of times when he hit the ground so hard.

The dude is amazing.

He came down hard on his left, and looked to have ice on his right during rest. He's a fighter. Blood and guts, no surrender. Cronin's job is to find more players with the same mindset.

Im saying for the season let him sit. It’s over at this point. We’re trying to lose as much games as possible right now
