Although it's just a few games, I think that Mays definitely should be in the running next year for a rotational player. He played well against a team that should be trying to win games and wasn't tanking.

Why did Sharpe only play 29 mins?

Do these last few games mean Billups can actually coach provided players are listening and doing what he says?

It's fun to hear Lamar talk about how hard these guys are playing. You didn't get that earlier in the season with most of the the guaranteed contract guys.

it's a lot easier to play hard when you're facing a 9 game season. A lot different when it's 82
Also a lot easier when you are fighting for a job.

Id like to see all NBA contracts be 50% guaranteed.... because of that

Man, Billups is the GOAT. When we were trading punches in the 4th, he kept trying to post up Eubanks against Jackson, LOL. Then with 3 minutes to play, and the game on the line, he calls a play for Eubanks to shoot a 3 out of a time out. Pure genius. I mean anyone could have pulled Shae with 6 minutes to play and the Blazers giving Memphis a run for their money. But some of his other 4th quarter moves: Chef's Kiss

Memphis probably will pull this off, but I’m getting more nervous about the Spurs game. We might really need to sit Shaedon for that game.
The way these misfit toys have played the last two games, we might beat the Spurs by 40. Billups better be on top of his game.

Unbelievable. The coach sat his best player in the last five minutes to make sure his team lost. Why is this kind of thing even allowed in the NBA? Doesn’t intentional losing undermine the integrity of the game and tarnish the NBA brand? Why shouldn’t Billups be fined or suspended for a dozen games? If a player intentionally lost a game to win a bet he would be barred for the season or maybe for life. This kind of stuff makes me sick to my stomach.
What intentional losing? We are out of the playoffs and the Blazers are doing player evaluation and development for next season. There is no intentional losing. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Hahaha
You gotta admit that is funny.

Mays is looking like a keeper. I hope we can give him a chance at a spot for next year

Plus minus is a hellofa drug.
Obviously Sharpe was our most talented player, and if we had to keep just one player of that bunch I'd instantly pick him, but the fact remains the team did better with him off the court. Now, did this have to do with the Grizzlies playing their scrubs more when he was off? Sure. But maybe if he hadn't've been playing at all they'd've played them the whole game!

I can’t believe all these other teams missed on him. LOL

I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic. Do you feel like he’s been playing well and deserves a chance or should we pass on him because nobody else was willing to give him a chance?

yeah, there are a lot of CBA changes I'd imagine would be good. The player's union would never agree....especially with the big one which would be a hard cap

Of course it is Cap'n Obvious, but of course that wasn't the point. The point was is that it is fun. Neither version was winning anything substantial, but I appreciate these 'scrubs' playing hard even though we won't see most of them likely ever again. Personally, I enjoy basketball that isn't so walk-it-up the floor, more movement, more aggressive defense, etc. I suppose if the other style was winning something, the 'winning' part would be fun, but it wasn't, so I can enjoy this for what it is....while we accumulate ping pong balls.
