Game Thread 2022-23 PRESEASON - GAME #4 - BLAZERS @ KINGS - OCTOBER 9, 2022 - SUNDAY - 6:00 PM (PDT)

Welcome to our community

We got Simons out there with the assignment on the 6’8” Huerter.

This is going to be a disaster. Can’t wait til he has to guard Klay Thompson.

If the real season looks anything like the preseason has looked, I predict Dame comes down with some season-ending injury in early January followed by a flurry of lopsided trades.

I had mentioned that in my opinion if we used the pick this past draft on a young player that won’t help for years down the road instead of packaging it for a proven vet to help win now…. That Dame might be upset.
Was that opinion way off base or is there a chance that might be correct? Curious if your opinion.

They got 70....that's not a good sign at halftime...gotta say this Kings team looks great...Murray is a baller

If the Blazers were ahead by 30 points right now it would matter as much as it does being behind (meaning it doesn't matter at all). Hopefully the don't look like this when the season starts. That's when it matters. doesn't matter at all tonight.

what sac is running is not that complicated.

our defense is just shit

Our offense is horrible. SO MUCH standing around. And our defense is still shit with Dame and Ant

Sharpe with an impressive showing in the first half. Three minutes and he is the only Blazer in the positives with respect to +/- (+8).

Meanwhile, on the other side, the other Rookie has 13 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist,, 2 steals, 1TO and is a +16.

I don’t think Dame really cares either way. He already had it set he wanted to be here for the foreseeable future. He got his max money and I think that’s good enough for him

I really think someone should tell the players to stop making bounce passes to Nurk. Keep them high or don't bother.

We are also so damn small. Watford is average at best. Eubanks is trash. Saar is years from being anything, and then he’ll be below average.

So, outside of Grant's play, has there been anything positive about this pre-season?

The current version of Lillard, along with his age isn’t a player worth mortgaging the future on.

At what we've seen thus far, I'm thinking the "Fire Billups" requests will start becoming notable by Christmas barring the team suddenly looking much better on both sides of the ball.

I'm still wondering what "proven vet" we were going to acquire that was going to make us contenders in the next couple of years. Every time I hear this argument I think "Yeah, that sounds great. Except the guy doesn't exist."

Dame needs a ring like Clyde, trade him now and start the rebuild

nurk has his man sealed under the rim. dame ignores him. wth is this
That's why Winslow needs to play with Nurkic. He makes Nurk a threat to score on every possession that the defense has to react, or get scored on.

Remember when people were gung-ho about Hart (after 13 games)?

Where is that player now? He's abysmal.

He has to pass Drexler in scoring first.

If this is an experimental game, why the hell isn't Sharpe playing 35 minutes? He needs pre-season playing time more than anyone.

Exactly. What's the objective? Are we trying to build familiarity? Iron out trouble spots? Get guys who are going to be or could be in the rotation ready to play?

It just looks like a glorified conditioning scrimmage.
