Except there isn't many options out there to replace him. Yeah, Ayton is out there but I really don't want to overpay for him. Not a fan. Who else of reasonable quality is out there that we could have as a starter?

I still imagine we keep Nurk. But, off of the list, we could likely get Robinson cheaper, atfer NY landed Hartenstein, maybe, and trot out a rim running C for 25 minutes a night, knowing he's likely played off the floor in the playoffs, and that we're likely going small with him off the court, Watford at C. But he really does nothing other than dunk and block shots. Terrible FT shooter, no playmaking, etc. Shit, I think I already ta;lked myself out of him, lol.

Here’s the thing: in order to take advantage of the salary cap boom in a couple years you can’t overpay players now with the justification “well the cap goes up so it won’t be that bad in a couple years”.

FWIW, I'm told the Blazers are 'exploring', but that discussions are very much 'uphill'. Doing their due diligence, and if an opportunity comes up where moving Nurk will improve the team, they are open to it. Didn't sound like anything was likely, but until that has all sifted out, Nurk will probably not be signed right away. @Chris Craig ...doesn't sound like he would walk as there isn't demand from teams that have money. It would be some type of trade.
