Watching little bit Chet and this kid really weak. Yes he can block few shots but also seen get the ball tip away on rebounds.

Yeah, was just coming over here to say the same.

Me too. In the only 2 games I have watched of Iowa, I am not impressed with Keegan at all. He can no doubt shoot from deep, but I am not sure he is a lottery pick.

Man--can't believe Gonzaga is struggling so mightily with Georgia St. Down a bucket nearly 3/4 of the way through the game? Crazy...

and he's theoretically the more finished product. i saw a lot to like from Keegan, much more than i did earlier. i like his control and poise. but i worry that his ceiling might not be more than a rotational starter in the league. Think he's a safe pick with a high floor but not the kinda star potential I'm looking for.

14 rebounds and 5 blocks for Chet with 11 minutes left.

All of this is going to translate to the league. He's a 5 through and through. I don't get the people that think he can work as a 4 next to to another big like Nurk.

Finally get to turn on a game, and the first thing I see: Chet gets the ball, drives on his man, draws a double, and kicks to a teammate for an open three. Nice play.

Then another block in traffic after a GaSt offensive rebound. And then his own offensive rebound and subsequent finish off a teammate's missed free throw. It's not hard to see what people like about this kid. He impacts a game in several different ways.

2-3 year project?
If he can put on weight then he I would say he could fit in some one team. But my worried would be how healthy will he be. Will he make immediate in pact I say no. It will depends how much strength he can get. I say if he can strength and healthy maybe end of his 2nd year and of course depends who drafted him to.

Is it the defensive side then that makes you think Chet won't work at the 4?
ya. i can't buy him being mobile enough to check perimeter oriented 4s in today's NBA. With more spacing at this level, he's gonna get stretched out and guys are gonna drive right by him. Besides, I think he's immediately going to be an elite shot blocker/rim protector like Rudy. Putting him in a position to switch onto guards on the perimeter (while guarding guys like Lebron/Kawhi/Giannis) would take away his biggest strength.

I also think he's gonna force the team that drafts him to play strictly a drop coverage.

I like him, but I keep saying he's not really a plug and play versatile big that he's made out to be.

I don't think can play the 4 on defense next year I just don't think he has lateral quickness.

Let's just toss a steal and a coast-to-coast take onto the highlight reel, eh?

31-4 run after I commented on them being down a bucket...

Final drive showcases his ability to drive to the rim, as well as how his lack of strength inhibits him down low.

Chet gonna be best player ever. Would Dame, Simons, and our picks get us the #1 pick so we can draft him?

I thought he looked great getting out on screens early in the year, but I think Few understood pretty quickly that them being pretty small 1-3 and Timme not a great rim protector either that they'd be better off dropping Chet.

I do worry about him on long rotations at the 4 though. I like his short area stuff, I think he's able flip his hips pretty well, but the start stop stuff is definitely a little rough.

I think you works best at the 4 defensively kind of like how Udoka uses Rob Williams by putting him on the weakest wing and allowing him to roam.

Is a shot at Chet worth giving up Dame for? Again, the only way you get CH is by extreme miracle or pkg for the 1 pick. Im for staying with Dame time for at least 3-5 years. Look at the age of Durant, Harden, CP, Curry, you telling me Dame cant play as long as those guys? Package the picks and some for an all star front liner if you can get one, otherwise still build the front court with the assets.

Im no Chet fan by any means but he is going to expose Duren next round
Chet is practically 2 years older.
And a much, much better offensive player than Duren.
Won’t really tell us much.
This 3rd watching he hasn't impressed yet.
You must be focused on the offensive side of the ball.
He is, without a doubt, one of the best defensive players in college basketball. If you haven’t been impressed with his defensive work that is quite frankly mind boggling.

Now is that worth the 5-6-7 overall pick? I’m not so sure about that. To act like you’ve got no idea why he is being considered that high is a little odd.

Didn’t catch Chet today, nice line though.

I’ll try to catch the Zags games now that they’ll be playing decent teams though. Look forward to seeing how he does. Hopefully the run into Duke again.
