Why do ppl continually believe in Gonzaga? They blow it every single year for the last like 20 years. They play in easy ass conference and get sweated like their Duke or something.

That’s why I question a top recruits competitiveness like Chet choosing Gonzaga to play in that easy conference…

Why do you seem so engrossed in pointing out to posters that anonymous scouts/writers disagree with them? You did the same thing to me a couple of days ago.

It's a really weird flex.
How is it a flex?
He said Duren hurt his draft stock with that performance. I said the scouts disagreed. And they aren’t anonymous. They’re the ESPN guys. And I said it because it’s their job. If I said, “oh I disagree.” he would just say “oh that’s your opinion”. So I used someone else’s opinion, who actually gets paid for their job, to do the talking. Not sure how that’s a flex. In fact, I didn’t even share my opinion because I think it really depends on draft order. Was merely stating that what he said wasn’t popular opinion.

Gonzaga has a great program and have held their own against much bigger schools. Could you imagine UP having that good of a program for the last 12 years or so?

Would’ve liked to see Gonzaga advance. The refs really made some questionable calls. Hard to get a feel for Chet after that performance.
He's skilled but will need to strengthen up and he will, may take a few years.

I’ll also add: You said Sochan is going to be a late first or early second rounder and said you’re going to stick to that opinion. I said the scouts disagree. Not sure how that’s a flex either. Just stating reality is a little bit different. We will see if Sochan is drafted in the late first / early 2nd or not.

I think I am leaning towards Paolo or Chet, because I think he will beef up enough.

Paolo I think has the most superstar potential of the commonly accepted top 3.

I like Paola, Murray & Chet

Gonzaga has only outperformed their seed two times in 11 years.

They should do some regular season tanking to get a worse seed. They don't seem to do well when they're favored.

I'm having a hard time seeing how Chet is a better prospect than Timme ... and one could go #1 while the other could go undrafted.

Prospective NBA players it’s all about what you can hypothetically do. The post moves that Timme gets away with in college won’t fly in the NBA against longer players. You can’t teach length.

Seems like every year there is some Zag player that a bunch of you get excited over.

Not that there is anything wrong with that.

And yes, I know Adam Morrison won 2 rings with the Lakers. I will fully admit he's the greatest Zag player after Stockton to play in the NBA.
Gonzaga had ONE five-star recruit before last year. This year they had the #1 player in his high school class. Nobody from Gonzaga even compares to Chet. Stop looking so hard at school affiliation.

Most years, Gonzaga is a vetran team with a lot of returning players, who make their resume facing big names with less chemistry early in the season. Then, they pad their record in a lesser conference, but while they're getting used to weaker competition, those inexperienced teams start coming together in the back half of conference play. The perfect receipe for the Zags to not live up to their tournament seeding ranking.
They've made 7 straight sweet 16s and made 2 out of the last 5 championship games. They've lived up to their seeding as much as anyone the last 7 years.

Not making the Final Four as a 1 seed isn't "underperforming" though. It's hard as fuck to make the Final Four regardless of where you're seeded.

He's going to get beat up in the pros till he gets stronger. He'll be fine just going to take 2-3 years.

IF he gets stronger. His frame is concerning. Not easy to presume he'll gain the sufficient strength. That's the big problem. He could make your draft or break your heart.

Your response is dizzying.

You throw out someone else's opinion to counter someone else's opinion ... which is a habit of yours ... but then I guess you are trying to say now it's not your opinion. So why share it?

If you think something, say it. For gosh sake, put yourself out there, not any of this weak sauce stuff "I posted it but I might or might not believe it." Yeesh. Weird.

Wow. That must have stuck in your craw that here your are nearly a week later still harping on it.

Tell us what YOU believe. Put YOURSELF out there. Stop doing this passive junk where you don't have an opinion. You're even misrepresenting the stuff you put out there.

And yeah, it's a weird flex to act like you're disputing something and then you give this vanilla yogurt stance that you're just saying stuff for other people but you won't say whether you stand on that.

I gave my opinion where I thought Sochan would go. I've also seen mocks having him go there. You aren't the voice of THE scouts. There are a lot of scouts and I don't think they are a uniform block that all have an opinion that (checks notes) you won't say whether or not you agree with.

Just stating reality is a little bit different.

What's a chet?

You mean the fat guy who has yet to play with CJ on the Pelicans?

Is Chet short for something like Chetford Jones?

Or is it a nickname?
