for some reason, i forgot that the infamous nolan smith was on the Duke coaching staff.
 
Clock struck midnight for #10 South Dakota, who lost a thriller to Michigan. They had never won a tournament game before advancing to Sweet Sixteen.
Another #10, Creighton, is still dancing after their third upset. All #1 seeds are in Elite Eight.
 
Paolo Banchero is at least as deserving of being a high pick as similar players Michael Beasley, Derek Williams Anthony Bennett, Jabari Parker and Marvin Bagley, and I predict similar success for him!

In the old days of the former site for this forum, you were restricted in your choice of avatar to the logos of various teams or colleges. This explains @barfo's avatar to this day. I (then known as "meru") decided on mine by scrolling through them and finding the silliest one I could. It was:

Saint-Peters-Peacocks-Logo-1967.png


So I feel an obligation to root for St. Peters, even though I know nothing about them other than that they have a peacock as their logo (and not even the cool one above any more).

I'm trying to remember what exactly he did in one game as a Blazer....wasn't it something like handing the ball on 3 straight possessions to the other team for easy baskets?

He had a -18 in a 2.5 minute stretch.
 
Stanford up 9 with 14 seconds to go. Nail biter until final two minutes. Difference in the game free throw shooting.
Cue Schonz. You've got to make your free throws
 
Texas managed to control pace if game, forcing ridiculous number of turnovers and holding Stanford well below scoring average, but when Cardinal absolutely had to get a basket or a stop, they managed. So basically Texas did everything they wanted except win.

Paige Bueckers certainly picked a good time to have her best game since returning from injury. Congrats to her and the rest of the Huskies. Hope they get Auriemma a 12th title.
