Paige Bueckers certainly picked a good time to have her best game since returning from injury. Congrats to her and the rest of the Huskies. Hope they get Auriemma a 12th title.
I have to root for Stanford.

Bueckers had 4 points first half, 23 second half and OTs.
Mysteriously, NC State didn't foul when UConn was up 2 with 20 seconds and Huskies got layup.
14 consecutive Final Fours

Louisville put a good effort but we're overmatched by South Carolina. Player of the year Aaliyah Boston had 23 points, 18 rebounds, 4 assists. Not too shabby.

Haley Van Lith is the only reason to watch Louisville tbh

This 4 final four is like a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner, no weird shit in the stuffing or any green bean salad. Just all the favorites.

he's 6'6 with a 6'10 wingspan, and has already worked with / has a connection with dame.

knockdown shooter with an expanding offensive game, tough nosed defender.

we should not make this more complicated than it needs to be.

Everything with us is complicated right now. When we know for sure that Cronin is our decision maker going forward or who ever else that might be and then when we know where we are picking and how many times we are picking, then things don't need to be over complicated. If we got one of the top three picks and the big that is available at that pick was one that we like with our current personnel, I think that's who we would take there. I think if our Pelicans pick lands in Agbaji's range in this scenario he might be a better option at SF than trading that pick for Grant who in his first season with us would cost 15-16M more than Agbaji's. I don't think he'll jump up any higher than the Pelicans pick and we might even be able to trade back to get him, you know how these GMs love potential and he is already 22.

Let's talk about it a lot between now and then but none of us should think we have any clue what the best thing for this team is until May 17th.

That would be wild if they replaced Cronin right before the draft. Or Bert Kolde took over

I posted this yesterday but if they really have been interviewing other candidates and candidates with bigger names, those candidates may have voiced some of the dissatisfaction that many of us have with the trades or more accurately the draft compensation coming back in those trades that Cronin made. If that big name is successful with convincing Vulcan that they could have made the same trades with better draft assets coming back or just better trades altogether and have a vision for the future of the roster more appealing to Vulcan, then I could see one of three things happening and it happening right after the playoffs start, so definitely not right before the draft.

1. The candidate in this scenario replaces Cronin and takes his role.

2. The candidate gets the position of President of Basketball Operations and retains Cronin as GM.

3. The candidate gets the position of Pres. of Basketball Ops and Cronin isn't retained either because the candidate doesn't want him or he doesn't want to stay on.

I think losing the Pelicans' pick would put more weight in this scenario taking place but I don't think the pick conveying would necessarily mean that it won't happen. I do think if any of those three scenarios happen then all bets are off when it comes to the rumored plans Cronin has and therefore all of our assumptions about this roster going forward would be null and everything would be up in the air.

When someone is given the interim tag, there would be an understanding as to why and what will the process be and qualifications established.
Nothing against Joe (im good with him) if earns the position. We should know probably right after season ends.

Paolo with ole defense getting his bigs in foul trouble. Clearly a weakness for him at this point but it seems more his mindset than any physical limitations

I have no idea why Griffin is rated so highly by every mock
He's 18 years old, shot 46% on threes, and can finish well around the basket. So if you close out too hard on him at the three-point line he will dribble by you and score at the hoop. If you sag off of him he'll shoot the three pointer. Some of what I have read as positives.
Edit: The biggest weakness for Griffin is athleticism. Another weakness is on ball defense.

So that takes him off my list.

Banchero terrific on O, but seems lazy sometimes on D and can get pushed around when rebounding.

The only thing I can think about him is that if he got Chauncey as a coach and was put in Chauncey's system from day one in the pros, he would flourish on defense. Dude has great feet, great mobility, great athlete, great hands on that end, he just falls asleep a lot, closes out half ass way too much but when he locks in no one gets around him, when he commits on to helping he can effectively trap and blitz. There's nothing he can't do besides probably protect the rim but he can protect the paint because he can get in position and doesn't get muscled up.

Bad time to be thinking all of this with Duke's defense being swiss cheese at the moment but, when I watch him on defense that's all I can think about. It's really all there on both ends he just has to take every moment seriously and he'll be a superstar and not a one way superstar like Melo or Dame, a two way superstar. I do really like Jabari and it's hard for me to get away from him being my first choice for our roster but I think as time goes on in the draft process, if we were to end up with the number one pick it would be hard to get away from Paolo, especially if he does what he'll almost definitely do and show up with incredible intensity for his workouts.

May 17th can't get here soon enough so I can stop dreaming about these guys and start settling into the guys that will be there at 6-8.

Duke is getting away with not forcefeeding Banchero everytime.

Not a Duke fan but I would love Coach K to win it all for the last dance
