Bro you actually typed that Camara had a better season than Scoot. I would just stop right about now and come back in October.

bro...you can't fucking read apparently...and no, I didn't type what you said I typed

I was talking about Cason Wallace...OBVIOUSLY

you might want to 'take a break till October', or at least until you get some new glasses

Shooting guard as opposed to point guard. Cannot say he didn’t deserve it. Just kind of shows the Thunder have some depth.

he was a shooting guard that shot the ball excellently. 42% on 234 three's is something that gets noticed enough to get on a rookie team

I don't know how Camara entered the discussion....

You can also say he played off the bench against guys that came off the bench mostly. Scoot played a bit more against starters. Again He had a great first year and probably deserved it. I also agree that the 82 games plus the minutes in the playoffs probably helped as well.

more than that though is that Scoot got a lot of negative press for his play. In part, that was a reaction to the hype he had pre-draft that he didn't come close to fulfilling. Scoot scored points and got assists. But he took lots of shots and had lots of turnovers.

don't get me wrong...I'm not saying he's a bust by any means. I think that's nuts at this point. But after watching him this season, I question if he'll ever be a franchise level player like he was talked about as being. I've downgraded his ceiling a ways

The hype aspect and hype backlash is interesting. I wonder if he was the 23rd pick or something with the same stats would be make an all rookie team?

he wouldn't have made an all-rookie team, IMO but there wouldn't have been all the chatter about how disappointing he was

Don’t worry, Scoot will be the next TJ McConnell for us

"clearly" is real high a standard, and it would still be more than 3

1st tier:

Wemby - Holmgren - Miller - Amen - Jaquez - GG Jackson

2nd tier:

Lively - Whitmore - Scoot - Podziemski - Keyonte - Camara
You literally have Camara having a better season than Scoot RIGHT HERE angry man.

You might want to go back and look closer.

Blazers crushed the All Rookie 3rd amd 4th teams!

how did Ausur Thompson get 1 more vote then Scoot Henderson? Did Monty Williams pay someone off ??

Ausur 18% 3pt, 59% FT

and he basically tied Scoot for rookie voting... get outta here wit dat

these dummies thought Grady Dick had a better season then Toumani Camara. This rookie voting is a sham. BOOOooo

bullshit....you quoted my response to a post about Cason Wallace, not one about Camara

you then had to go back and find an earlier post, made 7 weeks ago, to justify your fuck up

as for who had a better season:

PER: Camara 10.6....Scoot 9.5
TS%: Camara .547....Scoot .489
FG%: Camara .450....Scoot .385
3ptFG%: Camara .337....Scoot .325
2ptFG%: Camara .523....Scoot .416
winshares: Camara +2.0....Scoot -1.7
winshares/48: Camara +.055....Scoot -.045
BPM: Camara -3.1....Scoot -5.8
offensive rating: Camara 110...Scoot 97
defensive rating: Camara 117....Scoot 120

draft position: Camara #52....Scoot #3

obviously, Camara is a better at rebounding (and defense) while Scoot is better at assists (when he wasn't passing the ball to opponents or the audience)

something else: When Camara was on the floor, the aggregate offensive rating of Blazers/Opponents was a +9.2 points. When Scoot was on the floor his team net was -8.2 points.

so yeah, I can argue that Camara had a better season. Obviously, if all you care about is raw production without the context of efficiency and impact on the team, you'd point at Scoot's PPG and APG. But he was a terrible shooter last season and he averaged 3.4 turnovers (4.3 per 36). And of course his raw numbers were higher, he had a usage rate of 26.5% vs Camara at 13.8%; and he averaged 6.6 more FG's to score 6.5 more points

who will be better in the future is the more pertinent question since these all-rookie teams are just another NBA sideshow. Scoot definitely has the higher ceiling and upside. I'd say it's pretty likely he'll end up much better....assuming in dramatically improves his shooting and assist/turnover rate. I'd say that's probable but nor certain

I know this is where you'll get all dismissive about stats and too long a post. Tough shit....I don't care

You said Camara had a better season than Scoot. No he didn’t. There isn’t a GM that would take Camara over Scoot, not 1. But all those number things you googled definitely look cool.

wtf is with you?

I never once said any GM would take Camara over Scoot. Never said it. You're arguing that with a straw man you created

I did say Camara had a better season but at least I supported my opinion with some numbers.

Thats because Camara is 24 and Scoot is 20 - not how they performed last season.

Interesting though exercise. If Camara were 20 and in the 2024 draft, where do you think he would go?

he was 20 his sophomore season at Georgia. Averaged 13 points and 8 rebounds. Decent number that may have elevated him to late 1st round. On the other hand, he was a fairly obvious role player and SF who only shot 26% on three's....oops!
