I guess Zubac > Ayton. Why did we have so many Nuric haters here? He was fine. Ayton almost seems like a downgrade.
Ayton has traditionally dominayted Zubac in reg season and playoffs. Not close.

and for all the talk about the PG's and the C's --- the new pieces..

objectively, our forwards, got obliterated in this matchup..

n to me the forwards are by far the path of least resistance to upgrading this roster.. so im not nearly as harsh on ayton n scoot as yall might be.. cuz those players are here for the longhaul..

Clippers look like they'll be good, even though I doubt they'll all stay healthy. Might win the in season tourny or something, but that's it.

Remember this Franchise gave up Damian Fucking Lillard for Scoot Henderson.
Wow? This might quite possibly be the worst move they have ever made?

We reap what we sow

Sharpe has always been a willing passer what?
"Always" meaning... what? Not last year, and I don't know that we can rely on his high school career.

Let's look at assists-to-field goal attempts numbers from last year:

So. Yeah. Like I said he has black hole tendencies (Simons wasn't great, especially for a guy who played PG some, but that's not what you argued with me about.)

we need to stop having grant run the offense at the top of the 3 point line. That is just stupid.

I'll post this again:

137-173 in Dame's last 4 seasons as a Blazer. Not exactly lighting the world on fire from a team standpoint as an all-nba veteran. It would have been GM malpractice to continue along that vein with the increasing amount of money due Dame as he got older. The right move was made. Portland will win as many Playoff series this year as they did in the last 4 years combined.

Everyone has gotten torched except whoever was guarding Covington

We are outmatched everywhere

Do you watch games, or just look at macro stats? Cause in the 10 games where he was cut loose he was an amazing and willing passer.

I don't understand having Scoot and Shae just standing around on the perimeter. It makes no sense to me.

I assume you're kidding.

How would we be better off losing by 10 instead of 26 and not having a 19 year-old prospect and Robert Williams and future draft picks?

Ah... yes. Who needs facts?

"Always" becomes "in those 10 games (as long as you didn't watch them)".

Ridiculous.

I haven't watching the game because have the blazers TV contract and blackout. But Billups had 9 days to get this team to play there first game and just totally inexcusable for the showing tonight. I never was fan of his hiring and yet he has shown me that's he a head coach in this league.

just going by the mood here, i don't feel like some of you realized what this team was getting into when they decided to blow it up.

the funny thing is the people complaining were the ones calling for a demolition loudest.

If we are being honest, this team looks like it has 5 NBA caliber players at the moment.

Simons
RWIII
Sharpe
Grant
Brogdon

and one completely incompetent head coach
1 game and Ayton isn’t NBA caliber?

Hey! I was calling for a Dame call early and often, and I'm not complaining about this game at all. I'm only lightly complaining about Grant :)
